When to test for pregnancy- 6 weeks PP

Hi,

So I'm 7 weeks postpartum now. I stupidly had unprotected sex around 6 weeks pp and then a few days after that. I've been pumping and still haven't had a period and obviously don't know when it'll be back.

Please don't tell me how stupid I was because I know. I don't particularly want to be pregnant but would be happy if I was. We struggled to conceive the first time and it took us 2 years so it seems very unlikely that I'll be pregnant surely going of that but I've no clue? Surely it's unlikely to get pregnant that soon, especially because I don't think I'm ovulating if I haven't had a period? I've no clue really

How long do I wait to test? I do have the mini pill but can't take it until pregnancy is ruled out but don't know what I'll know that it's ruled out?!

21 days after unprotected sex if you can't tell where you are in your cycle x

If you’re pumping I thought it was highly unlikely. I didn’t get my period back for over a year and was not ovulating during that time. But yes 21 days later.

I've no idea because I thought the same but everywhere says different. I'm transitioning to formula at the moment too so I don't know 🤷🏻‍♀️

@gonewithtthewind 21 days after sex to test. You can definitely still ovulate when pumping or bf. Obviously you ovulate before getting a period so just because you haven’t had a period doesn’t mean you haven’t ovulated.
