Dtd only on ovulation day

So I got my positive opk on CD16. We did the deed that evening. Haven't had chance to do it again. Has anyone been successful when only having sex on ovulation day?

It has just got be wondering whilst I wait in the tww.

Absolutely you can! Only takes one as they say… most people do ovulate after their peak OPK but usually 12-48 hrs later

they can survive up to 4/5 days also! So still in with a chance, hope that TWW goes fast for you!

I got my peak in the morning but couldn't have sex for 36 hours. No baby right?

@hexagon123 still a good chance you can catch that egg, any sex one day before or one day after a peak OPK are still a “high” fertility days! Don’t rule yourself out.

@hexagon123 ovulation usually happens 12-36 hours after first positive OPK (usually the following day) then the egg survives 12-24 hours after ovulation. After this you’re no longer fertile. If you dtd on peak day then you probably wouldn’t have yet ovulated so well within time. I always tried to dtd day of the peak and the day after (ovulation day).

peak day, ovulation day and the day before peak day are your highest chances but sperm lasts up to 5 days so your fertile for 5 days before ovulation too so if you don’t get pregnant this cycle I would try and dtd in the days leading up to peak too.

I’m pregnant now and missed dtd on ovulation day the cycle I conceived as we were busy but I did peak day, day before peak and 3 days before peak

with my daughter we only dtd once a week that cycle so must have only dtd once in the fertile time. It can happen just once

You sure can. We dtd on 20th Dec which was my peak and I got pregnant. Lost it shortly after the 2 weeks tho

I could have written this original post. Even the same CD.

For whatever reason we only managed DTD once when peak ov. I’m feeling strangely hopeful but keep searching for “only did it once to fall pregnant” clearly getting over excited.

But need to remain calm in TWW as we’ve only just started TTC - I’m trying to make it non stressful for my DH as he works long days but now I wish we tried a little more.

I’ve set my alarm to test 6th April. Feels so long away. Fingers crossed all.

Oh I'm the same! We got pregnant last month but it ended up in CP so I guess I was building my hopes up that this might be our month. Hopefully we are in with a chance🤞🏻

Hey all I got a high reading on a OPK today - and some mild cramps, fair amount EWCM … much earlier than I usually do 🤷🏼‍♀️

but here we go I guess just hope we don’t start DTD too early and run out of steam 🥲

Can anyone please tell me when I ovulated. As we only managed to bed cycle day15 night time around 9pm 10pm due to work commitments.thank you 😊
