TTC for 10 months- I believe I ovulated early this month and at about 10 DPO I started getting nausea, backache and mild cramps. The cramps and back ache weren't signs but I had to take time off from work and I thought I had food poisoning. I decided to take a FRER and after 3 mins It was a strong positive (photo attached). We went to get a clear blue and it was negative - has anything like this happened to anyone and it still turned out you were pregnant?

Frer is meant to be more sensitive isn't it?

Milkand2sugarsplease · 19/03/2023 18:25

Different tests have different sensitivities. They state what they are on the packaging. So essentially some tests need to pick up more hormone before they'll show a positive.

TTCJJB · 19/03/2023 18:39

Yes I had the exact same, positive on my cheapies from 10DPO, tested on a CB at 11DPO which was negative. Confirmed with a FRER at 12DPO and got my 1-2 weeks on CB a day later. Don't give up hope 🙂

That seems to be a conceive + test not a frer, I’m not sure of the sensitivity of those.

Did you use an early response CB? Also if your urine is more diluted that wouldn’t show a positive so well.

Try to get an actual frer to be sure as they are very clear and accurate. But it definitely looks like a positive test.

Agree with @Twoinapod it could be negative as your wee might have been more diluted if it was later in the day. Try and wait and use FMU if you can.

Fingers crossed x

I have had two v faint positives on FRER this week and two very negative NOT PREGNANT on digi CB...... I'm very worried my lines are indent or evap 😫
I hope yours works out! That line on the test looks v positive to me xx

Tryingtoconceivenumber2 · 22/03/2023 08:56

@ElleJones1 both times it's taken me 48 hours longer to get a positive on a digital than a line test x

ElleJones1 · 22/03/2023 09:55

I've just ordered 2 more FRER and 6 day early CB and some easy@home tests! Whoops! Hopefully they'll be here Friday!! xx

Here it is

TTCJJB · 23/03/2023 03:50

How many DPO are you?

ElleJones1 · 23/03/2023 08:17

I hadn't ever realised about line progression, naive really! I guess a lot of it is time of day etc aswell. I'm not sure on dpo?? I had EWCM last Monday 13th but only got my first positive CB smile on OKP last Saturday? But I started testing too late in my cycle. I didn't realise you have to start testing on a certain day so I'm baffled really! Termination was 31st Jan and had a V v v small bleed on 2/3rd March but I had a scan that showed there was a little bit of blood left and it was very brown so unsure if that was a period or not really? I had a blood test 3 weeks ago that showed hgc at level 4 so shouldn't show anything on a test? I'm driving myself a bit insane!
If I base in on EWCM then I'm 10dpo.......xx

Tryingtoconceivenumber2 · 23/03/2023 08:24

I can see the line x

ElleJones1 · 23/03/2023 08:37

I really hope it is!! Xx

Countingchicks · 23/03/2023 09:10

Looks like my line and I'm 10dpo too. Negative on clearblue digital weeks yesterday but it's not sensitive enough. X

ElleJones1 · 23/03/2023 09:23

Oh thank you, that's reassuring xx
