Bit of a silly question ...

I ovulated on CD 20 this month which is very unusual for me but today is dpo 5 I have strong cramps most of the day I'm assuming its AF but can't help hoping it's not. Anyway could you technically have AF now if implantation hasn't happened yet could it still happen in the next few days even if AF arrives ? I'm very confused late ovulation has completely thrown me.

If ovulation is late then af will be late too, the time between ovulation and af (luteal phase) stays the same each cycle

If you're 5dpo it could be implantation cramps you're experiencing. If AF happens then it's highly unlikely, but not impossible, that you will still implant afterwards.
