Late period.. when to be concerned?

I'm currently on cycle day 38, and starting to worry about what's happening ( 2 negative preg tests). I only got my period back after having my son in December (he's 21mo now) so wonder if things could be still "settling down"? No idea when to seek medical advice if this continues.. any advice appreciated as obviously ttc. thank you!

I've had really off cycles, some longer, after having my son. I think it's still settling down. Are you breastfeeding?

Only reason I mention is mine would be really late if he fed more for any reason - teething, illness etc. I've been tracking and it seemed to throw off ovulation, and period would be really late as a result

Thanks for replying, yeah I am still breastfeeding and quite a bit I think lately (he's been ill, teething etc too) I think that's why my period came back only when he was 18mo. It's frustrating! How old is your son?

I think it is normal with breastfeeding unfortunately. Mine is 13 months, and I just stopped breastfeeding when he turned one so I could TTC again. I don't think I'm one of the people that can get pregnant while feeding
