likelihood of conception?

has anyone here ever gotten pregnant outside of their "fertile window"? dtd the day after my period, have only just started having regular periods again so a bit hopeless with cycles. a quick Google search tells me conception is unlikely but not impossible. wondering if anyone here can share their experience

Me 🙋‍♀️, my last period was the 13th of Feb till the 17th of Feb my usual 5 days and we dtd on the 19th of Feb, my period was due last sat/Sun and never arrived I took a test Sunday evening and turns out I'm pregnant 🥰 I'm due the 19th of Nov so 9 months to the day of dtd 🙈 so not impossible 🤣🤣

@Hailsxx oh wow!! If you don't mind me asking is that the only time you dtd so you know that's the date of conception? I'm torn between waiting for my period or getting a test in a couple weeks

Erm we also dtd on the 9th or 10th of March but that was 2-3 days before my period was due and with how positive the tests were I don't think they would have been so positive if we only conceived then, the tests were done late in the evening and were clear positives 🤣 do you know when your period is due? I'd maby wait till the day it's due and take one, hope this helps 🥰

@Hailsxx oh that makes sense!! so my period isn't due till around the 2nd of April which seems sooo far off! Its hard when you just want to know

Yeah it really does seem like a long time but it will be worth the wait instead of obsessing over a test to see if there is the faintest line 🤣🤣 we have all been there 🙈I'd maby wait for as long as you possibly can 🤣🤣

It's unlikely the day after your period but not impossible. Do you track ovulation (with actual ovulation tests and not with just an app based on averages). Most women ovulate around day 14 but some are day 10 and others day 20. Spern can live for up to 5 days.

Now if your period is 7 days and you had sex on day 8 on your cycle and you ovulate on day 12 it's very possible the sperm can live that long.

But bare in mind even when actively trying your chances of conception is only 30%

@Bells3032 I have recently started using an app, to track, but have only had 3 periods since the birth of my son + stopping breastfeeding. So I have no idea of my cycle really. My periods have been 4-5 days long and that's all I really know. We are not trying for a baby so no ovulation tracking, this would be a happy accident and result of mamas first night out

I recently started getting ewcm like just a few months ago however this time when I dtd and went to the loo like probably 6 minutes after I peed and wipe and say a long glob of transpartment jelly like discharge. Is this fertile mucus or just leftover semen?
