Hey can anyone help? Thought I had thrush but swaps came back from dr negative. Dr was insistent it was thrush so did another round of cream & fluconazole last week no joy. Bought thrush & bv pessarys from boots which are doing the job, today was my last pessary and my fertile window was not suppose to start another couple days but only gone and got a + opk today. Does anyone know if pessary effects ability to conceive? Like does it kill the sperm. Should I BD or not

Did your Dr know you were looking to conceive soon? I'm not sure about whether it can affect your ability to actually conceive, but I would say seek advice from your doctor.

Last year I had to complete a 6 month course of fluconazole due to recurring thrush. They really highlighted that I should take no chances in falling pregnant whilst taking the medication so I had the coil fitted. From memory they said there would be an increase risk of miscarriage / heart defects if you take fluconazole whilst pregnant. I have no idea how long it stays in your system, or whether it's safe to try and conceive so soon after taking it so I really would suggest speaking to your Dr for advice.

Yeh I made the dr aware multiple time she said at that time in my cycle it would be OK regarding the fluconzale. Just wasn't sure about the bv pessary but will seek advice from gp thanks
