Hi All, I hope I don’t get pushback from this but here goes.
when I was pregnant with my first a few years ago, I remember I only had a positive test at 8 weeks since my period,
(Funnily enough it was the last test I was willing to do before going to the doctor lol)
When I went for my 12 week scan only a month later (thinking the hormone just didn’t show up on my urine)
I was only 9+5 (estimated because bean was so little) so I was actually 5 weeks when I got my positive test which baffled me to how it happened - I know it’s not an exact science and I know when we tried which was far from every day of the month.
fast forward, i haven’t had a period in 7 weeks, almost 8. Just like before, just before I got my positive last time. I haven’t had a positive yet (aware you can just miss them but I’m usually like clockwork) so I just wanted to say to people, you’re not out until Aunt Flo comes, that’s proof with my first
I’m not saying it’s the same for everyone but the idea that if you don’t get a positive immediately you’re out is not always true, I would love another child but I will keep updated even if Aunt Flo just arrives very late (even if she does I hope she’s kind to me 😩😂 )
here’s a picture of my now 2 year old son, who I thought was 12 weeks by my period dates but was just a small jelly bean :)
