HELP! LH still high after Ovulation

Hi all

I've continued to do OPK tests post ovulation due to LH still high. As you can see from 1st pic. 2nd pic is from last month where it dropped dramatically straight away (all previous months are a quick drop after ovulation too) unfortunately I don't monitor my BBT. I do also use the clearblue monitor that stated PEAK on CD16 too so pretty sure I ovulated as stated
Has anyone had this and is it a concern. TTC for over 2 years and never had this.
Any advice would be great!

Do a pregnancy test too. I know you can get positive LH tests when pregnant.

LH can fluctuate so much throughout your cycle, and it's only positive once the test line is as dark/darker than the control ( sure you know that though). Might be that your body geared up to ov & didn't so it about to try again or just that your LH is a bit higher this cycle. I've not heard of it being an issue.

Thanks @timetosave I did wonder if maybe I didn't actually ovulate but it's bang on time like every every other month and confirmed by 2 different types of OPKs and had the usual ovulation symptoms ewcm, pain etc. Like you say I could just be running higher this month and if nothing to worry about then even better

@Robo86 it's hard to know for sure without temping, have you thought about it? I found it really insightful! But I know it's not for everyone. I sometimes run a bit higher LH wise after ov too!

I have the thermometer and did try a few months back but cos I work shifts I couldn't consistently temp around the same time. I dont really no much on BBT. Around from dips and raises at certain points means something lol. I may give it another try next cycle just to see

If you dont have any existing conditions that could be affecting the results ( i have pcos so can interfere with lh as its always present but at higher concentrations ) have you thought about taking a pregnancy test ? This was the case for me , and after researching I discovered its common. My lh never dropped in December and 2 weeks after ov I took a positive pregnancy test. I lost it early but my lh levels these others months are normal dropping back down after ov again. I'd suggest taking a test ? On the other hand months aren't always identical. It's possible this month your surge might drop gradually as opposed to a steep decline as lh is constantly fluctuating even in non pcos women its always present

I do have pcos however never had an issues with my LH or ovulation. I know pcos is very much up and down and can play havoc with hormones. Just seemed odd that after a year of doing OPKs this is the first month where they have remained higher than normal. May be nothing. Just wondered if anyone had experienced similar and it was due to a particular reason be it pregnancy or something else

If you have been TTC for 2 years and you have PCOS, please talk to your GP or gynae / endo doctor and get bloods done to check you are actually ovulating. I have had PCOS for over 10yrs and had ovulation symptoms / surges on OPKs etc but the bloods and scans showed i was never actually ovulating. My dr told me OPKs are unreliable if you have PCOS. Ended up using letrozole and conceived on the 3rd cycle.

I'm already under gyne. Already done 6 rounds of clomid and 4 rounds of letrozole with metformin. I ovulate but infrequently. I've just finished my last round of letrozole and now the next step is IVF as gyne cannot offer me anything more. I've had bloods and scans and a HSG test. Nothing else is wrong partner is ok and has previous child. I have never had a high LH post peak on or off meds so was just seeing if anyone else had
