Would you try for a December baby

I don’t know if I’m being silly here.. I think we have missed our chance to conceive this month which I am gutted about. However next month would mean a December and then a January baby. I always feel sorry for my friends born in December/Jan as I feel their birthdays get overlooked a bit.. plus I can imagine it is difficult buying birthday and Christmas presents for your little one at the same time! So just wondering if anyone has an opinion on whether they would intentionally miss out trying for a December baby or am I being ridiculous because at the end of the day that could be the month that we do fall?

I MC'd a baby in May 2022 who would have been due on Xmas day 2022. I was quite ambivalent about the idea of a December or early Jan birthday, even though happy to be pregnant.

When we had the MC I (dark humour, sorry) joked that the baby had discovered their due date and decided, "Christmas birthday? I'd rather die." (To be clear the MC was very unfunny and very unwanted and I would very much have chosen for my little Xmas baby to stick around if I'd had a choice.)

It never occurred to me to skip that month, though (maybe I would have if I'd realised the EDD would literally be Christmas day?), and I was 35 at the time.

I'm now 32 weeks with a bub due in May, which is amazing but they're going to be the youngest in their year and we're going to get screwed on when the 3yo childcare funding kicks in so there's really no perfect time to have a baby and I think you should just go for it and not skip those months. :)

My DS was due at the end of January but I was induced 3 weeks early. His bday is 2 days after my deceased dads bday which is really
special to me.
I couldn’t be choosy as there were too many months to avoid - lambing/calving/silage/hay making 😂
