***Pregnant after Ectopic***

Hi All,

I have just found out I'm pregnant. My period wasn't due until today, but I got a BFP on Saturday evening and conformed with a CB Digi on Sunday Monring.
I fell pregnant last April, but unfortunately, it was an ectopic pregnancy and had my left tube removed.
I am absolutely shitting myself. This is another ectopic 😫. The hospital has me booked in for 14th March at 9 am for an early scan .
Does anyone have any successful stories of becoming pregnant after an ectopic ?

Hi there, didn't want to read and run. I had a ruptured ectopic in October last year and had a tube removed too. Though I personally don't have any experience with this (not been lucky enough to get my bfp yet but still hopeful) I do know multiple ladies that have had successful pregnancies.
There is a really helpful and supportive group over of fb called Expecting after an ectopic pregnancy. There are lots of women on there who are in the same situation and so much hope and support :)
Big hugs to you op

Hi, I didn't want to read and run. I have had 2 ectopics (same side) plus some mc. Expectant medical management for both no drugs given. Eventually, 2 and half years after last ectopic I had a pregnancy in the right place.

Just be aware of the signs but try not to symptom spot. Stay off of google. (Easier said than done) go into a&e or epu if you have any heavy bleeding or pain.

I had a private scan at 6 wks and then the NHS one at 7 weeks. My epu couldn't see me sooner. Good luck and statistically it's more than likely to be in the right place.

My friend had an eptopic and has since gone on to have a normal, healthy pregnancy. Fingers crossed for you

Hi there, I had an ectopic and like a previous poster, didn't have my tube removed or any drugs and it was just expectant management. I then was told to wait for 3 periods before trying again. We did that and I fell pregnant with my DD straight away. 13 months later fell pregnant with my DS straight away so there certainly is some hope! Keeping everything crossed for you.

Ahh I'm sending you lots of luck for your BFP . I've just had a look at the group and asked to join. I'm so nervous and to be honest after the operation last April I've suffered massively with Anxiety. So yes I'm happy and over the moon about falling pregnant again but severely anxious with it. Catch 22 really. Thankyou for your kind words 😊 x

Sorry about your ectopics 😔they are so devastating. Staying off google is easier said than done at times.
My anxiety is through the roof, I know nothing can really be seen before 6 weeks so unless I have any symptoms I'm going to try and stay as calm as possible. I'm clutching at only 10% chance of further ectopic 🙃. Your words are kind thankyou so much xx

I was frightened both times that it would be another. I bled with both around 8 and 12 weeks which turned out to be nothing. I had a scan to check the location of the pregnancy with my son as I was having dull ache pains on the same side as I had the ectopic. That was roughly around the 5-6 week mark I think.

How are you feeling?

It's funny you say that as I am also have a dull pain on and off, on my left side (same as ectopic), but the tube was removed, so thinking its just physcological niggles 🙄. Feeling bloated today also. Nauseous on and off and boobs hurting like mad 🤣. X

My first pregnancy was an ectopic. I got pregnant the month after recovering and now have 2 DC, both pregnancies were healthy but I experienced pain in the ectopic site with my first baby as it was so soon afterwards. I panicked so much so I feel you but the odds are on your side, and the scan will help too as if (god forbid) it is another, they will catch it before it does any damage x

I'm sorry to hear about your ectopic, but I'm super happy to hear you had 2 DC after what a joy 😊....thankyou for your kind words , I'm counting down the days for the scan 11 days to go 😬😬x

My first pregnancy was ectopic but was dealt with my expectant management as thankfully by the time we realised what was happening it was already resolving itself.

I got pregnant 3 months after (we were advised to give it a break) and had a scan at 6 weeks to find it in the right place!

I have honestly never been more anxious for anything in my life and cried when they told us it was in the right place. My partner and I didn't talk about the pregnancy until we knew because we were so frightened to get our hopes up.

I hope your scan goes well! X
