CM after ovulation?

Hi everyone

I did just post this in a thread - but I’ve been searching this page for ages trying to find an answer, so thought best to create a separate thread.

I am 4DPO today, and when I went to wipe this morning, I had a big ‘blob’ of CM on the toilet paper. I stared at it for awhile as I was confused and when I went to touch, I assumed it could be stretchy, but it wasn’t. It was more jelly like and a bit creamy. But it was a decent size blob! I also had a tiny bit of EW like CM yesterday?

Is it normal to continue to have CM after ovulation? I assumed it dried up until AF arrived?

How did you confirm that ovulation did actually happen 4 days ago? It could be that this is actually ovulation and the EWCM that is associated with it.

I had EWCM two days before (last Friday) and tracked on opk’s. After 7 flashing smileys I got a static on Saturday which made me think ovulation would have occurred on Sunday.

It's probably just one of those things then. I've never really had it completely dry up after ovulation. I usually get EWCM for a good 4/5 days around ovulation, not just the 1 day anyway 😊

Hello! Just wondered if you this ended up being post-ovulation CM? Or was it an early pregnancy sign?! Same thing happening to me :)

LittleMiss2023 · 22/07/2023 21:29

Hi @Thornberry1. I ended up being pregnant, but unfortunately had a mmc! Fingers crossed for you - we are currently ttc again and I’m waiting for my blob to arrive as for me it meant pregnancy last time! 😂

@LittleMiss2023 Thank you for sharing and sorry for the slow reply. I'm so sorry to hear that, and really hope you're doing ok. I had a TFMR in May so can relate to that horrible feeling of losing something you desperately wanted.

That is really great to know though! I feel like a little personal sign is so helpful 😂Hoping it's mine too. I'm about 10DPO now so holding off testing another few days..

@Thornberry1 I’ve just got my BFP and no blob this time - just goes to show how different each pregnancy is!! Fingers crossed for you!
