@Indianna2006 yeah that does make sense :)

MrsJGrealish · 03/04/2023 15:13

@LuckyMoonstone I got a growth scan with all mine at 32 weeks? Like 15 years ago now

MrsJGrealish · 03/04/2023 15:20

It was a routine thing then. My friend was 2 days apart from me and she had the scan too but they found her baby wasn't well..too much amniotic fluid ☹️ I don't know what they do know. Maybe one day I'll find out 🤷‍♀️

bunnykins123 · 03/04/2023 16:27

@LuckyMoonstone I never had any additional scans with DD past 20 weeks but with this one I will be having monthly scans from
28 weeks as DD was 10lbs (yep!) the midwife told me that all women get one now at 36 weeks irrespective of issues etc. I'm not sure if that helps or is relevant to you?

MrsJGrealish · 03/04/2023 16:36

@bunnykins123 was your DD 10lbs😳?

LuckyMoonstone · 03/04/2023 17:35

@bunnykins123 on one hand it will be lovely to see baby every week, but eventually you’ll be like fgs I’ve got to go in AGAIN 😂 I’m guessing they want to see growth over 2 weeks and kinda guess how big the baby will be and whether that might have any impact on my CS scar?

LuckyMoonstone · 03/04/2023 17:36

@MrsJGrealish I’ve never known any of my friends with babies to have had scans after 20 weeks. I did always think it was so weird that you get to 20 weeks and then that’s it for the whole second half of your pregnancy

MrsJGrealish · 03/04/2023 18:06

@LuckyMoonstone actually really sorry if I panicked you there. I'm Northern Ireland and this was years ago. They did it to check amniotic fluid but you can't see much of baby. With DS2 I got a lovely pic of his bits 🙈😂

LuckyMoonstone · 03/04/2023 18:12

@MrsJGrealish haha no it’s ok! I had a private scan with DS at about 26 weeks and the scan pics were rubbish, he hardly fit on the screen 😂 so not hoping for any great pictures at 32 weeks

TheBirdintheCave · 03/04/2023 19:59

CM was watery today so we've started the every other day dtd. It would be brilliant if it comes earlier this cycle.

MrsJGrealish · 03/04/2023 20:05

@TheBirdintheCave mine was early this month. Like 3 days which was how it used to be. Happy to see it😊

bunnykins123 · 03/04/2023 22:23

@MrsJGrealish haha yep. 10lbs of yumminess. Probably why I didn't progress past 8cm though as my body was just like
'Nope' 😂

@LuckyMoonstone good point, didn't think about the scar! I do agree with you, I have scanxiety so hate a scans so not sure I necessarily want more.

@TheBirdintheCave sounds promising 🤞 are you still using the fertilily?

LuckyMoonstone · 03/04/2023 22:31

@bunnykins123 wow 10 lbs! Not gonna lie that scares me a little 😂 8 was enough for me

MrsJGrealish · 03/04/2023 23:10

@bunnykins123 🙈🙈 second babies and boys are bigger..hope the section will be booked again 🤞🙈 that's an incredible weight though..well done 😊

TheBirdintheCave · 03/04/2023 23:18

@bunnykins123 Yup :)

Also, 10lbs! 😱 My son was 6lbs9 and he still tore me asunder 😂

Scans gone well. Although I'm now terrified as it's twins. They don't run in my family, I can't help but think it's just another hurdle.
Nervous doesn't quite cut it.

bringmearainbow · 04/04/2023 09:55

@FfoxRedN omg that's amazing! Your well within your rights to be nervous anyone would be lovely without the added extras you have to deal with❤️ you got this just take each day at a time. what are the next steps? Will they scan you again? Xxx

bunnykins123 · 04/04/2023 10:04

@FfoxRedN omg that's absolutely incredible news!!! I'm so happy for you - got absolutely everything crossed for you. Don't be nervous about twins, they will be best buds 💕 just try and take each day as it comes - how far along are you now?

TheBirdintheCave · 04/04/2023 10:04

@FfoxRedN Woah, twins! :O I can understand your nerves. Congrats on a good scan though!

FfoxRedN · 04/04/2023 10:05

@bunnykins123 @bringmearainbow 6 weeks 2 days. They're measuring right at 6 weeks which is good. Yeah another scan in 2 weeks. Jesus...this having a baby journey is not easy is it 😭

FfoxRedN · 04/04/2023 10:06

@TheBirdintheCave 😘

bunnykins123 · 04/04/2023 10:08

@LuckyMoonstone @TheBirdintheCave @MrsJGrealish haha I know, I obvs had a c section as there was no way she was coming out naturally. She's diddy now, I do wonder if I had undetected gestational diabetes.

@MrsJGrealish oh god don't say that! I'm already planning another c section so that should mitigate that 😂

bunnykins123 · 04/04/2023 10:09

@FfoxRedN awh I'm so happy for you. I've literally got everything crossed for you. It must have come as quite a shock! I have quite a few twin mamas and they LOVE it!

Indianna2006 · 04/04/2023 10:11

@bunnykins123 deffo go for that c section with 10lb a 🙈🙈😮‍💨😂

@FfoxRedN omg!! Twins! How amazing. Bet that was a shock. So glad the scan is looking good. Woah from trying to get one baby to now there being two. Ttc is so messed up soemtimes hey 🥰🥰 fingers and toes crossed for you hun.

Alexis7890 · 04/04/2023 10:26

@FfoxRedN aw yay glad the scan went well for you! That’s so exciting for you both!!
