Does this look like a chemical?

Hello,

I had a clearblue ultra early digital positive on Sunday (12 DPO) and did a FRER in the afternoon after only a couple of hours hold. Today I've done another FRER (14 DPO) with FMU and this looks the same as the afternoon FRER on Sunday! Honest opinions please, is this a chemical or blighted ovum? 😔

OP, I really hope everything will be okay for you ❤️ I had a similar situation, initially tests got darker but then stopped darkening at around 12 DPO and were similar to yours 😔 Please let me say that there are people who had similar things happen but lines started darkening for them a bit later on and they had good outcomes. I wish you all the best.

I was really worried as my 14dpo looked lighter than my 11dpo. So I was convinced it was a chemical. By 19dpo I had a dye stealer. I think in the beginning the hcg is so low even when it doubles it’s not very high, so doesn’t make much difference.

Thanks all, really appreciate your replies 💛. I'm going for HCG blood tests tomorrow to put me out of my misery. Will report back either way what happens so this thread is hopefully helpful for someone else if they come upon it 🙏

Got everything crossed for you. Its such a hard wait. My tests looked similar and never got any darker. However my resulting 18 month old is current causing mayhem and mischief on our first holiday.. all of the positive thoughts your way.

So mine that did this did eventually get much darker though that pregnancy turned out to be a blighted ovum.

I'm afraid it's just a case of wait and see. Fingers crossed it turns out well :)

I think 3 positive tests is quite a good sign, so fingers crossed for you. I have to say I hate those tests with the line, trying to work why the line is light and shouldn't it be darker and what does it mean? It's enough to drive someone potty. I'd use another clear blue one, the one that tells you how many weeks you are to be a bit more sure. Also good luck for your blood test

No I don't think so, have sore boobs and feel knackered. Did another test this evening which I think looks a bit darker?! driving myself mad looking at lines! 😵‍💫 Hopefully the blood tests give a clear answer 🙏

Defo looks darker. I always found my highest hcg in urine was the afternoon!

That does look darker and hopefully the blood test will show that this is a viable pregnancy.

Just to finish off this thread for anyone who comes upon it later - my doctor didn't want to do HCG blood tests and instead wanted me to have an early scan at 7 weeks. Unfortunately I'm having an early miscarriage at 5 weeks 3 days 😔
