Best urine to test with

Obviously I know the best time to test is first thing in the morning with the strongest wee...however, I've ordered some FRER and they'll arrive Wednesday midday...am I best waiting until Thurs morning or can I keep my morning wee and use that in the afternoon? Are there any negative impacts from "storing" it for a while?

I'm 8 days late, slight cramping, boobs really sore.

I took a 2 year old (expires April 2023) clear blue at 1 day late and negative, bought a cheap ASDA test at the weekend (5 days late) and negative...couldn't find FRER locally so have had to order in.

A midwife once told me that urine in the afternoon is fine to test with. She said that the morning urine could often be filled with protein and therefore make the test less reliable.

Not sure how true that is, but I think test when you get them, with fresh urine

At 8 days late it shouldn’t matter at all, if you’re pregnant you’d expect HCG to be pretty high by then

At 8 days late I would think any urine would be absolutely fine. First urine is only recommended for early testing as it’s the most concentrated. Once it’s built up in your body a bit it’ll show any time of day

There's some logic to second morning urine being better,.and I've had stronger lines with that. But I agree, and 8 days late it will be blindingly obvious any time of day

Thanks everyone. General consensus is anytime...but make sure its fresh :)

I ordered FRER and boots early detection so got "plenty" to play with. We only dtd once (withdrawl) so I'm fully expecting it to be a BFN...but I just can't shake how late it is...and how sore I am!
