Long winding story…

I have been ttc second baby since October 2023. Have had previous early miscarriage at 9 weeks and son now 2yo.

in late December 2023 I had loads of nausea so bad I had to take the day off work and very frequent need to urinate just before my period. Hoped I was pregnant but bfn’s for days - eventually contacted GP as was worried about uti with urine problem. Urine test from doctor no pregnancy no uti - it got to 22nd December and I decided to test again BFP, followed by period on 24th December.

January was miserable, didn’t try this month just let myself recover. Had period normal but short (only 3 days usually 5). Can’t think that I had anything unusual other than lots of work stress.

February the need to urinate returns with vengeance (7 times in 5 hours). I cannot do up my jeans have gone up a clothes size and serious bloating. My stomach looks bloated and someone on the tube offered me a seat as I look pregnant. I have a dream that I’m pregnant and am woke up with ‘fishing swimming’ sensation in Tummy feels similar to with my son. I have also felt this when in the bath and when eating tasty food.
several hpt all bfn
period arrives starts pink but full red 2 days in.

I have contacted GP and sending me for bloods on Friday.

I am so confused -I think I am so keen to have a baby/haven’t processed miscarriage over Christmas that I am imagining symptoms despite bfn and x3 periods but this sensation in my stomach and frequent urination is freaking me out

I know I just need to wait for test results but just looking for some solidarity about why the female body is so perplexing

Bless you, I feel for you. I'm kind of in the same situation. Me and my partner aren't going out our way to try but if it happens it happens so a very laid back approach.

But my last period was 11th January and it usually lasts 3 days and I'm on a 26 to 28 day cycle. I was due my next AF around 6th Feb. It never came and then I realised that I ovulated a bit later so my period was pushed back and due around 12th Feb... it still didn't come until so tested and BFN, I started pink spotting on 16th in the morning so thought ooh IB but by lunch time 'AF' had come, well what I thought was AF. It was a regular flow for the rest of the day and for a little bit the next morning but then all of a sudden it went light and stopped by the afternoon of the 17th so literally a days period. I tested yesterday so left it nearly a week and still BFN but for the past few weeks everyday I have felt sick, had headaches, been extremely tired, weeing loads more, had funny taste in my mouth and my boobs are fuller (not tender though)

I just don't know what's going on. I've got a appt with the doctor next Tuesday ...

It’s so confusing on the one hand i think just ignore it, it’s psycho somatic and there is no objective evidence on the other it’s been months of weird symptoms and I worry I will be someone who has a baby on the toilet as I have been ignoring my body for months. Let’s hope our medical appointments give us some answers

Bloods came back normal but gp did not test for hcg (not sure why other than he thinks I’m mad), he said he was checking for diabetes and thyroid but all clear. The frequent urination has stopped but still feeling odd sensations in my stomach - no way to describe them other than similar to my memory of baby movement. Random little wave like feelings that can be quite intense but not painful- must just be phantom symptoms

GP said there is zero chance of pregnancy with periods and neg tests. I suppose I just have to live with this weird stomach feeling for now

@anon1411 how did you get on ?

I don't understand why they wouldn't test your HCG.. but its frustrating isn't it not getting the answers, even after you've had tests etc.

So I had the telephone consultation yesterday and explained everything, the doctor was not fussed in the slightest, he didn't say anything other than "ring reception and get booked in for a blood test and we will go from there". I haven't had chance to book in for a blood test yet but in a way I don't know why I'm bothering, I feel like they're not bothered and don't care.

But today I've had brown and red spotting when wiping, and my stomach has felt very very uncomfortable and keep getting waves of nausea but very strong ones. I'm on CD14 so thought maybe it's ovulation but never experienced it like this before 🤢🥺

Been having some more investigations as have more pain now as I think it is gallstones. Just in case anyone wants a follow up, but the initial experiences did feel so similar to kicking. Feel so weird about this now as is has really mad me realised how desperate I am to have a baby
