I got this test yesterday evening at 6 DPO. Followed by a negative (not sure if i see a line or not) this morning. I have mild ‘period pains’ in the lower stomach, bloating and hard stomach. Anyone had this before? I will wait and test again in another few days atleast 8 DPO but just wanted a second opinion..

My thoughts exactly! Its quite strong tbh its not really faint and i didn’t question whether i could see it or not. Its just strange that this morning theres nothing/barely anything there x

Maybe re test in the morning and night maybe you get better results later in the evening that's not un heard of

6 dpo is way too early to be testing if you are sure of your dates. Wait until 12 dpo and then you should have an unambiguous result.

It’s easier said than done I know but 6 dpo really is too too early. Logically you should only be implanting so such a strong result is quite unlikely.

Almost biologically impossible to get a positive that strong at 6dpo if you are certain on your dates - I'd say it was a faulty test - that being said sometimes embryos can release a burst of hcg when they attempt to implant and that's why some can get a BFP then followed by a BFN and then when implantation fully completes get a BFP again

The very early you can implant is 6dpo and it then takes a few days for hcg to rise enough to be detected. So if you’re sure of your dates I’d say it’s not a positive.

Im going on dates by the flo app, so not sure. I only tested because i had period pain for a few days and really bloated.

I'm a transgender dad really wanting to get pregnant (pre-hrt) but my partner isn't ready and I cannot shut up about wanting a child. Does anyone know how to calm my feelings so I can be more patient for my partner?

@ghostofxenos I don't want to offend you, I'm genuinely curious and clueless, but why do you want to get pregnant if your instincts tell you you should be a male?

Update on this thread - i am most definitely pregnant after 2 more positives and a scan to confirm. Now 9 week 3 days. So it is possible to test at 6dpo x

@Hannah0110 you will have ovulated earlier. It genuinely is not possible to get a positive at 6dpo. As you were going by the dates on the app, and they’re not accurate it’s definitely a case of earlier ovulation. Congratulations though, great news on the positive. Hope you have a healthy pregnancy.
