Almost Non-Existant Periods after Coil Removal

I had my regular coil removed in October, and had a normal period in November and was expecting a period end December. Had stomache pains and mood swings and on 3rd Jan had period that lasted half a day. (normally last bout 4-5 days of heavy to light). I put this down to not having coil in, so periods must be a lot lighter. However, waited for next AF, same mood swings and stomache cramps, but this time period was just a smear (not to put too finer point on it )on 3rd Feb.
I am 41, so could I be going through the menopause already, getting worried about this more so than wondering if I be pregnant.

hi i had my coil removed in october and my periods have been really light though recognisable as periods iyswim have you done a preg test?? even just to rule out preg as the cause of your non-existant period. if so and BFN then you should see your GP to make sure there isnt anything else going on. it is possible to have the menopause at 41 so its a possiblilty but it isnt really that common from what i have read (i.e. it is usually from about 45-50 that the menopause is more common iyswim) i would do a HPT first though just to make sure

Ooh err! Not really thought about fact I may be pregnant .
After coil removed, I was going to consider other birth control options, and just use condoms in the mean time. I just thought my body could do with rest after having coil in place for nearly 7 years. To be honest, i had all but forgot it was there , and must admit, having to think about birth control feels bit odd now, but me and DH have been very careful since coil out - so would be extremely supprised if I did end up pregnant. Also DH would probably have a nervous breakdown, as he doesn't cope well with life's little supprises (we have 3, youngest being 8).
I am a chicken, so am inclined to wait to see what next month's period is like, whether it appears at all. If it is almost non-existant too, I suppose I will have to go Doctors to get checked out. However, I feel fine in myself, no pains during the month, only stomache cramps around the time my period is due. DH even said 'I take it you are on?' as I was being extremely ratty and snappy with PMT, so even he assumed I was either having/about to have my period as usual.

Still not tested, too scared!!!
Decided will wait til beginning of March and see if period comes then. If not, will do Home Test, and then see Doctor.
What's worrying me slightly, is that each time I was pregnant with my sons, the only pregnancy sympton I had was lack of periods, did not have any sickness, weird feelings, funny tastes at all. If it were'nt for the no AF, I imagine myself being one of those people who have a baby not even knowing they were pregnant.(apart from weight gain at the end)
