Very faint line? Over 40

Hi everyone can anyone talk me down? So I tested on my due date 2 days ago. BfN. I have only dtd once this month on 2nd Feb so quite a while ago. No signs of AF. Then this, this morning. Surely I had sex a long time ago so how could this be a faint positive? Surely it should be strong. And I had two BFN negatives 2 days ago. Is this weird.

BtW it took a while to show up, few minutes, I nearly threw it away so could be an evap line? Thank you.

That looks positive to me I won’t lie, tentative congrats 🎉🤍

Did it show up within the time on the packet?

You'll have to test again to be sure, but sperm can live inside you and fertilise an egg for up to 5 days. If you ovulated 6 or 7 Feb you'd now be max 12 dpo which might explain the faint line.

Do you want to be pregnant?

Sperm can survive for up to 5 days, then it takes 6 to 12 days for implantation to happen and then a few more days for hcg to rise enough to be detected on a pregnancy test. So it seems absolutely fine to have a faint line at this point. It definitely looks like a positive though. Have you tried using a more sensitive one like a frer?

Yes within the time limit. I think I should have ovulated around 1st Feb so maybe I ovulated late.

I see thank you, it sounds possible then just seems so long ago, crazy. I will test with a FRER later

@Lineeyes80 100% go and buy a frer, you will get a clearer answer 🤞 good luck keep me posted ✨✨

@Lineeyes80 That looks like it has some colour too and pics don’t always show the line up the best so if we can see it then it deffo seems like a positive. Fingers crossed for you! Maybe try a FRER and/or CB Digital? Please keep us updated! X

Hi all.

Maybe you could help

My app says i ovulated on 23rd (lmc on 10th)

October ive skipped november period and wondering why i'm getting egg white cervical mucus.

Could it be i've just randomly skipped a period and ovulating again.

So far bfn, i've only got faints on cheapies xx

You don't 'skip a period', you just didn't ovulate last month and this is likely you ovulating now. You only get a period if you ovulate. So no ovulation = no bleed. Usually.
