Starting to go slightly mad ttc , now been ttc out 1st since October 2021 with a MC in January 2022 I'm 36 this year. And in the last 6 - 8 months my periods have gotten lighter and lighter and this month nothing at all and no positive ovulation strips last month either . Waiting to be seen my a fertility clinic the end of March but feeling very low and weepy today . Has anyone "lost" their periods and gotten them back ? What was the reason behind it ?

From the very first month of trying my usually long but somewhat manageable cycle of 35-40 days immediately shifted into a 55-73 days cycle. I contacted my GP when my period was so late that I really should have started the 2nd period already, but by the time they actually did an ultra sound I've had my period. Turns out I have PCOS and I probably haven't ovulate at all during our year and a half of trying (going through healthcare checks in the UK just takes bloody ages). Since then I have finally been prescribed letrozole and it is making me ovulate and has given me an incredibly punctual 27 day cycle (still no luck getting pregnant though and they're gonna give up on the letrozole soon and I'll have to start figuring out IVF).

So far I have not been able to get any answer to my question of why my period just deteriorated so suddenly, I hadn't had hormonal birth control for several years before starting TTC so that can't be it.
