Hello!

I did egg sharing IVF back in November 2020 and had a freeze all cycle due to OHSS. I then went ahead 6 weeks later with a FET and convinced my beautiful DD who's 17 months now.

I'm looking into having another FET this year, hopefully May/June time.

Although I've had a FET and remember the meds/transfer, I did so straight after an egg sharing round so I have no idea what tests/scans are required or what the earlier process is as it was all still "in date" from the round.

I've got my first appointment at the clinic on the 27th March and this is just a phone call.

Can anyone let me know what happens from there? What steps stand between me and starting a cycle?

Thank you!

Hi lovely!

Your post may get more answers on the Infertility board 🤍✨

I’m not entirely sure for a FET as I had a fresh transfer. But as far as I’m aware (I may be wrong here!!) you’ll need a baseline scan, and to decide whether you’re doing a natural or medicated cycle. If natural, they’ll await your period and then you’ll have a few scans to check lining etc, before going in for a transfer! With medicated - I think they’ll make you down regulate on day 21 of your cycle, and go from there (again with scans in between to check lining)

hope this helps xx

Hello!

Thank you, I've posted there too but nothing yet unfortunately!
That's amazing, thank you! Felt a bit more "in the know" with the full round whereas the FET blended right in so I'm honestly never sure what the deal is and whether I'm crazy for hoping for a may transfer!
Really appreciate your response. Xx
