DTD... how often?

Morning all. Heading into our 2nd cycle ttc 1st baby ☺️ I'm 32 and he is 35. But my question is how often are you guys dtd during ovulation window and in general each month? Feel like we didn't try enough in our 1st cycle so we are on it for next!

We tend to try and do it every other day but sometimes two on the trot and sometimes we will miss a day. I think every other is deemed a pretty good and relatively achievable sort of amount - good luck! Are you tracking ovulation at all? Then you can make sure you are definitely focusing around your fertile window

We were told every second day. Alk the time, not just in fertile window.

@NWnature Thank you. Yeah we definitely weren't DTD enough during the whole month on that basis then 🤣. I'm tracking ovulation via the Flo app and have ordered opk's from Amazon this morning. Feel so new to all of this but feeling hopeful.

@MistyFrequencies Thank you! Will be scheduling in dtd a lot more this cycle then. All feels so new at the moment. We talked about it so much before we started trying about whether it was the right time. 1 cycle down and it's all I can think about now 🤣

We DTD twice last cycle. Two days before and the day of ovulation. We got pregnant but sadly it was a chemical pregnancy so miscarried. We used the same strategy of DTD the month we conceived our DD. Also got pregnant a few months before that using SMEP but that was a CP too and also a lot of effort and consumed my every thought which was quite stressful. Good luck OP x

We dtd every day during my fertile window and I just got my positive. To be fair though that wasn’t because we were trying, it’s pretty standard for us anyway. If your sex drive isn’t that high that’s fair enough and I think every other day is good and if you’re testing for ovulation then making sure to do it an extra time if you get a positive Opk too.

Every other day in fertile window - I see fertile window as 6 days to be honest and dtd day after ovulation peak
we still TTC so that’s what I’m doing anyway

We dtd every other day from around CD8/9 then made sure we did peak day and ovulation day. Got pregnant 3 times in a row doing this. First 2 were early miscarriages/chemicals but I’m now 12 weeks pregnant and we actually missed ovulation day this time as was busy.

Hey hope you don't mind me joining but feel the same as you! We are trying for 1st baby and technically are on cycle 8 after our MC but only on 2nd cycle using amazon ovulation tests with Premom! We dtd 3 times every other day last cycle but i think one of them might have been a day too early, my other half wasn't 100% well so that's why we didn't get to do it as much as we should have. This time i've invested in preseed and will use that and at least dtd 3/4 days in a row! Lol I'm on cycle day 10 and last month i starting getting 'high' on cycle day 11/12 and peak on cycle day 13 so baby dancing is coming up!
