5 days late now girls..
Did a ClearBlue on the day of missed period and got a BFN but haven't tested since as trying to be good. I have had a bit of back and hip ache and yesterday, oh gosh, I couldn't stop crying over every little thing 🤦🏼‍♀️

Has anyone had success stories of getting BFN after missed period but it turned out you were actually pregnant? And if so how long did it take to get a BFP 👶🏼

No success story from me but, depending on the type of test you used, the day of your missed period is still quite early. Test again.

I did and it turned out to be ectopic (sorry). It's been 5 days, why not just test again?

I am in the same position as this, although not quite as late yet. I am having the odd bit of spotting though - no idea what is going on xxx

A test now would definitely show a positive. So just test today. I would think all tests would show by date of missed period, so I’m afraid I don’t think you’re going to get a positive. Sorry to be the voice of doom, just don’t want you to get your hopes up.

@anon1411 if you're 5 days late I'd just test again tbh. With my first I got my BFP the day after AF was due and it was really faint. I didn't test earlier so not sure what I'd have got but it would have been a squinted at the most as that's what it was at 15dpo. I'd do one of the ones that says 'pregnant' or 'not pregnant' for clarity.

When I was TTC no.1 I did have one 49 day cycle (horrible!) - I think it was due to stress. And I was getting random signs and symptoms throughout that but testing negative etc. I'm pretty sure now it was an anovulatory cycle. I know people don't like hearing that but just putting it there as another possibility if you've been very stressed. (my periods returned and I fell pregnant 4 cycles after that so it doesn't have to mean doom and gloom if that's the case!) Good luck!

Thanks girls, will definitely test this weekend, the only reason I haven't since is because I work long hours and haven't been to the shop to get more tests 🤣

I mean I have been very stressed lately due to work so I did wonder if it was just my body reacting to that but I've never been this late of you know what I mean. And I've had plenty of stressful times over the past few months 🤦🏼‍♀️

I hesr alot of ladies testing negative until weeks after then others like 4 days before so it's just crazy how different it is for some people 😁

So it's all a bit of a mystery still. I realised that I think I had my timings out by about 4 days (ovulation wise) which does alter things a little. Either way I'm still late, no sign of AF at all in any way however Friday I had some sharp shooting pains in my side, literally lasted half hour if that. Then yesterday when I wiped after going to the toilet, it was like a light brown. So I'm thinking maybe that could be implantation? Both times I thought okay this must be AF and both times nothing followed up.

I did test yesterday and it was BFN but if my dates are wrong then that would make sense if I have only just had IB yesterday. 🤔

How are you doing? Any updates? 😁

I thought everyone tested positive on day of AF but I’ve since read for some it can be about 2 weeks after AF is due. So you never know and like said ovulation and implantation could be later.

Yeah I'm not going to lie I just assumed that by AF or a day or two after you'd know by then but I've heard a lot of stories of ladies not testing positive until a few weeks after...

And because I don't track religiously and just go by 'typical' time frames I guess I can't rule it out just yet. I do think if I haven't got an answer by mid week I will maybe see my GP

Similar situation - ive had on and off spotting for a few days now. Literally just a bit of brown or pink when i wipe. No af. Negative tests. So confused! Ive decided to kid myself that the spotting is my af just so I have some closure😂xxx

It's so frustrating not knowing what's going on isn't it. I've had cramping since and waves of nausea today, like quite bad as well as hot flushes which again is all very odd.

I contacted the GP today as I just want to rule Chemical, Ectopic and Miscarriage out (I'm a very very prolific worrier 😳) but they can't see me until 28th Feb which is helpful. Not 🤣xx

Feeling like I've has pre period symptoms but also pregnancy symptoms lmao so no idea what's going on. I'm married to a woman, so do things a bit differently.... Inseminated at home on the 4th, think (hope) I ovulated then or not long after and believe I have implantation camps around day 6/7 after but not 100% sure. Wondering if I'm just late due to stressing and wanting to be pregnant? But had super stress before and not been late....
