Hello 👋
Just looking to hear some experiences from those of you who have sadly experienced a chemical pregnancy if anyone would mind sharing with me please?

I was thrilled to have a positive FRER at 13dpo, after many pregnancy symptoms which made me want to test early. I'd tested at 10dpo which was negative, waited until 13dpo BFP, then waited until this morning (16dpo) to see progression and the line is barely there. I've accepted this can only indicate a CP, and although gutted, I'm not that surprised. It's our second cycle ttc #2, I'm 38. My DD took 15 cycles and a CP 8 months before our lucky BFP. Getting pregnant in our second was just too good to be true.

So currently waiting for my cramps/bleeding to start. With my last CP, the heavy cramping and bleeding (with clots) started 2-3 days after my missed period, and I had no symptoms whatsoever with that pregnancy (apart from a missed period which prompted me to test). This time I've had loads of symptoms and still feel very nauseous. Cruel really, but it's not fooling me.

How long did it take for your period to start/pregnancy to pass after your lines got really faint?

I do realise no-one can predict when exactly this may start for me but just hearing the variety of experiences others had I think will help me, if it's not too difficult to share 🙏

So sorry for what you're going through, it's horrible - I do hope that this has a positive outcome for you, but I agree that the most likely thing is a CP (was it the same type of test you used on 13 and 16DPO?)

I've only had one chemical; got a faint positive at 10DPO which never progressed, and started bleeding at 15DPO. AF would normally arrive 11 or 12DPO for me, so it was like a slightly late and heavy period.

I did successfully conceive on the very next cycle though. Good luck Flowers

Thank you for your kind words @Mortima
Yes both tests were FRER so feel it's conclusive.
That's gives me some hope about you conceiving next cycle ☺️ Thanks for sharing your experience with me x

Sorry that you’re going through this, it’s certainly no fun.

I had one last cycle and it took a while compared to others for the bleeding to start - about eight days after my negative test. It was accompanied by some fairly strong cramps but nothing some ibuprofen couldn’t sort out.

On the plus side - I think it’s true that you’re more fertile after the chemical as I caught on again the immediate following cycle (although it has again sadly ended in a CP - hopefully that’s just bad luck)

Lots of baby dust to you

So sorry @Honolulu123 sending you a big hug.
I went through this last month. Faint positive with a FRER at 13dpo then it was lighter 15dpo. I started bleeding at 16dpo, heavy for a couple of days and then it got lighter.
wishing you all the baby dust for next cycle. X

Thank you so much for sharing with me @LucyEleanorModeratz @Ttcsecond , so sorry for all your losses 💐

That's interesting to hear it can sometimes take a while for the bleeding to start! I've tested again this morning and got a negative so was assuming it would start soon but perhaps not. It's such a strange state of limbo to be in when you know for sure it's coming. I'm sure you may have felt the same just wanting to get on with it so you can get to the next cycle.

This ttc business is hard xx

I agree @Honolulu123 - it’s really frustrating (currently waiting to start bleeding with my second chemical now - had my first negative test a week ago today!). For some reason my body seems to hold onto the unsticky egg for longer than it should. Hope you start soon so that you can look forward to the next cycle xx
