Could I have conceived the week before AF

Hi all

my period is 5 days late, I’ve tested but negative. I last had unprotected sex on 28th January. Is it possible I could have conceived then and it’s too early to test? From my understanding you have to be ovulating to conceive but i definitely ovulated on 21st January.

I have been having cramps, dizziness and nausea but no breast changes. Is it possible to conceive late on in a cycle?

It’s when you ovulated that matters. If you definitely ovulated on the 21st then the very latest you could have had sex and conceived is within that 24 hours after ovulation as the egg only hangs around for 12-24 hours after ovulation. So sex on the 28th would have been too late.

If you definitely ovulated on 21st you’d be 18dpo which would should show a very dark positive line. Also makes conceiving on 28th pretty much impossible as eggs are only fertile for 24 hours at most.
