NO PERIOD- LATE BFP's

I've just seen another thread about AF being a no show but testing and it being BFN.

And it just made me curious, has anyone ever missed a period, been pregnant, but not tested positive until a while after? So missed period but not got a BFP until a week or so after?

I'm 2 days late now and tested yesterday midday randomly (ClearBlue test) and it's a BFN but I don't feel like AF is coming at all, no usual symptoms, nothing. I just know when she's coming as I feel it and know my body pretty well now.

Just curious so any stories would be amazing 🙏😁

Do you chart bbt? If you can pinpoint ovulation and you are now 16 dpo (two days late) then it's extremely unlikely you are pregnant.
If you don't know for certain when you ovulated, or you are less than 15dpo, then yes, it's possible you are pregnant.

@Gingernuttie
So I don't take ovulation tests or track it by temp etc. I just kind of go by date of AF and work out the week I roughly would be fertile. So I don't have exact dates, I try and be laid back and not get too caught up with it all to save disappointment.

But a rough estimate would be I'm 14 or 15DPO tomorrow....

Trouble is, even women with regular periods can occasionally ovulate late. So unless you are sure when ovulation occured you can't be certain how many dpo you are. The laid back approach is great, not dissing it at all, but it does mean less certainty. You'll just have to test every few days and wait and see I'm afraid. Good luck!

@Gingernuttie oh yes, I definitely agree. Thank you for your responses 🥰
