Leading up to BFP

Hi 🥰

So AF is due on Wednesday so 3 days away and I was just wondering how did you all feel leading up to your BFP's or what symptoms did you have?

Last month I felt like I had every symptom going and then AF showed up. But this month other than a few mild things like Tiredness, CM and a few little twinges the last few days I've had nothing.

Feel free to join if you're in your TWW and nearly at testing stage too, would love to compare 🌸

Thanks ❤️

I'm nearly 12 weeks with 3rd and I still have no symptoms - sometimes you just don't get any! X

Rabbithole27 · 05/02/2023 15:50

My symptoms leading up to my BFP were exactly the same as my ones leading up to AF - I’d never have been able to tell the difference, the only sign was no AF and two lines on the tests x

anon1411 · 05/02/2023 16:44

Thank you @Rabbithole27 😁
See this is the thing, last month I just 'felt different' and had a lot of symptoms- obviously turned out to be AF. But this month if I wasn't trying I'd just say AF is coming with the Tiredness and stomach twinges I've been having. Oh and also seem to get quite moody right before AF which end of last week I was very much like 🤣🤣

I guess I just don't want to get a test tomorrow and it be negative then 2 days later AF show up. I think I'm going to wait and see.

With my first two boys I had AF symptoms and with my third I had absolutely no symptoms at all, in fact I didn’t believe the pregnancy test 😂 didn’t feel pg one bit so I think it just depends

Parkopedia · 05/02/2023 16:54

With DD I was so nauseous I couldn't eat. It's what prompted me to test, as I'm not someone who loses my appetite easily

kitty1993 · 05/02/2023 16:59

I found out at 9dpo and genuinely felt no symptoms at all. I only tested at 9dpo because we were due to go out for drinks that night and I just wanted to check! Needless to say I ended up being designated driver that night.

My symptoms in the days after that were mostly needing to wee ALL THE TIME! And my boobs became tender but that was normal for me in the lead up to AF

FlyOnTheWall89 · 05/02/2023 17:03

No symptoms for me!

Mulner88 · 05/02/2023 18:06

I always got symptoms before my period came like sore boobs, headaches, bloat, moodiness etc etc, however the month I got my BFP, I didn't get any and found it odd and tested and was positive! No sore boobs until about 2 weeks after I got my BFP!

SillyOldBear3 · 05/02/2023 18:09

My symptoms were quite a lot of uncomfortable cramping on 6 and 7dpo and slightly sore nipples (felt different to the usual boob pain before AF). Other than that I felt completely normal, however mine was a chemical pregnancy at 5 weeks. I'm in the 2nd cycle after the chemical now and approaching my AF day.. 🤞

ThomasinaLivesHere · 05/02/2023 18:32

With my son I had exact symptoms I would expecting AF. In fact after feeling cramps that felt like every month I told husband it wasn’t going to be that month as I was sure period was coming soon. Then day of predicted period there was no blood and so took test and there was a line!

anon1411 · 05/02/2023 19:47

Thank you ladies 🥰 its crazy to hear so many having very few or no symptoms as i suppose its easy to assume that when you do concieve you literally get most of the symptoms listed. Well fingers crossed this is my month as I have hardly any symptoms 🤞

I've just looked at my tracking app and I've noticed I've had it all wrong 😳 I had the cycle set at 28 days (which after I came off the pill a bit ago it seemed to be that long) but the past 4 months have been 26 days exactly - the night before, so 25th day, before bed i will always get that little hint AF is coming when i wipe (tiniest bit) . Then by the morning she's definitely here.

Anywho I went into set it so the app worked out dates from previous cycles and it's obviously changed my dates and tomorrow is meant to be day of AF 🤦🏼‍♀️ and so far tonight no sign of any AF whatsoever 🤞🙏🤞🙏

Aww that's great. Keep up hope!

I advise you wait a bit longer to test. I'm pregnant with 3rd DC and the first two cycles (long cycles) got me both by being 2 days late. So 38 day cycle and it arrived day 40 when I tested day 39.

Then 40 day cycle and I tested day 41 and it arrived day 42!!!! And I was gutted. So just keep waiting is my advice!!!

LauraA31 · 05/02/2023 20:36

Good luck and hoping that AF doesn’t show for you!!

I had sore boobs, just tingly and sore after ovulation then they vanished and that’s the only symptom i had 🙂
Im almost 29 weeks and still haven’t had anything other than the tingly boobs right at the start 🙂

Still no sign of AF, I did take a ClearBlue test randomly this afternoon- I had it spare lying around and it was Negative. However did t exactly hold for any time and its not FMU. So will have to buy some FRERs at the weekend.

Quick question: are Clearblues notorious for not showing BFPs so early?

OP posts:
FlyOnTheWall89 · 06/02/2023 21:57

If you're due AF, I would expect it to show. I was a day late and the weeks indicator clear blue and the not pregnant or pregnant style test showed. FRER are more reliable though. @anon1411

Agree. It should show if you were due today. I got my positives with Morrisons own - nothing fancy - just making sure it was the day after I was due.

Superunknown1 · 06/02/2023 23:32

Got my positive when I was 1-2 days late, I don’t really know what made me decide to get a test that day (more boredom than anything I think?! I’ve been late many times before and it’s always been a negative and disappointment). I’d even picked up a box of Tampax at the same time as I’d had light spotting a few days prior as if I was a few days away from starting my period. Boobs a bit sore too but again, just normal period type stuff. And the tiredness kicked in quite soon after!
