Can’t believe it, this actually is an indent line?! What’s wrong with this brand? It’s all false positives

Not sure what you mean to say? You can’t believe it’s a negative - do you mean you are pregnant??

palelavender · 05/02/2023 02:34

I assume the OP is not pregnant but has a test with a line that suggests she is pregnant. I've never seen an indent line so I presume it's quite rare. OK clearly had her hopes up.

Happybumbum · 05/02/2023 03:09

Sorry this isn’t written properly. Baby brain!

so I did this test and I was sure I was pregnant but it’s a negative. I’ve had so many indent lines like this? But this was darker so I was sure it was a pregnant line… am I crazy to think that?

turns out I’m not pregnant after all!

I don’t see how you could think the indent line was a positive but maybe in real life it’s clearer than in the pic. Are you upset about not being pregnant? I can’t tell sorry if that sounds insensitive

Happybumbum · 05/02/2023 03:28

Do you think this is an obvious indent line?

am I crazy to think this was a positive line? I really didn’t know the indent lines could be so obvious and I’m shocked and disappointed this wasn’t a positive test…

am I the only one who was confused by this?

is it a clear indent line?

From my experience and to my eyes it is, sorry.

Happybumbum · 05/02/2023 03:34

Don’t be sorry, I just never knew it was possible to have a line like this and not be pregnant. Is it for every test or just some? I’m relatively new to this

To me it shows you are not pregnant so I assume you are not?

You can tell it’s an indent line because it has no color at all.

One of three things may be happening, since you say you‘ve “had so many indent lines” on a brand that usually works for most women. Since the space to the right of the bright red control line (the part that contains the indent) is much more yellow and blurry:

  1. You've added a filter?
  2. It’s absolutely saturated in wee. You only dip the bottom end of the stick in a cup for five seconds. They’re very clear that it shouldn’t be more than five seconds. Time it on your phone or use a clock.
  3. This is after the development time limit, if it was negative at the end of the development time. The test is supposed to develop in X minutes. After that time, you’re much more likely to see indents.

Unfortunately, if it’s not any of those, I don’t know. Good luck, OP - I really hope you get the result you want soon.

Thanks for taking the time to write all this and it all makes perfect sense

youre right, it does look blurry. But no filter, this photo was taken a few hours after the test. It was darker when the photo was taken but I could still see a line within minutes of the test being done but not as dark.

ill keep all these things in mind for the future and appreciate your help.

thank you

I have to agree with this poster, it looks very very dark and yellow so I wonder did you leave it in wee for too long? In which case I'm less surprised there's such an obvious indent, if the test was flooded so much.

I'm not sure from your OP whether you want to be pregnant or not, but either way best of luck for whatever outcome you're looking for in the future.

That test looks very old when was it done? After a day or so they all tend to have a line where they’ve dried

Happybumbum · 05/02/2023 08:16

I’m on prenatal vitamins that make my wee super dark, but you’re right, it was taken later in the day. I did a mid stream urine. But didn’t soak it
