Hello,
I know I’m posting very early but really looking for reassurance or advice. I’m 18 DPO and having very strong positives consistently across the last 7 days. I have however been bleeding everyday for 6 days. Started off light and looking like classic implantation bleeding but the last 3 days it’s increased a little and is bright red. This is the first time I’ve had a positive pregnancy test and am really worried. I’ve taken photos to show to my GP on Monday but wanted to hear from others,
thanks

Have you got any pain? I had this last year and turned out to be an ectopic which I had to have emergency surgery for. I was bleeding for a week with no pain and they wouldn't listen until I demanded a scan which showed the ectopic. Hope everything works out well for you, keep us posted xx

Just thought I would also mention that many people do also bleed in pregnancy, especially at the beginning so try not to worry too much but definitely mention to your gp/midwife xx

Thank you ❤️
I’ve had a sort of pain I guess? It’s just felt like I’m very bloated and sometimes slight cramping. I just want it to work so I’m panicking :( xx

Is the pain on the side?
My first pregnancy I had period type pains but just not as painful if that's any help. Lots of people bleed so don't worry too much! And it's convincing that your test is still getting darker despite the bleeding xx

I'd be concerned about the possibility of an ectopic pregnancy.

It could be implantation bleeding, or if you've been having sex it could be to do with that. I also had an ectopic and my bleeding was nothing like this, it was too light really to go on a pad and was dark brown. It lasted for a couple of days around the 4+3 mark but then went away and didn't come back until three weeks later when it started again which prompted me to go to the EPU.

Your doctor might be able to do blood tests 48 hours apart to check your HCG levels. With a developing pregnancy you would it expect the levels to double - if it's ectopic they will rise more slowly. Wishing you all the best! X

Thanks everybody. Update is blood and pain has stopped and HCG levels rising. Had a scan today and they found a 3mm sac of fluid which they said could be the beginning of a pregnancy or it could be a blood clot. Another blood test today and a scan on the 16th to see! Fingers crossed ❤️
