1dpo- first time tracking

First time I have ever tracked my cycle with opk. Had coil removed 10th jan and had no idea on cycle. Found it so interesting to see them get darker. Had my peak on Wednesday. Yesterday I could feel a really weird sensation on my right side and back. I’ve never paid much attention before but being able to feel ovulation is such a bizarre experience. I’m in my 30s and never realised that’s what that was.

Im now 1dpo and already feeling the long anxious wait. No real reason for this post, just need to try and distract myself for 2 weeks now 😂

I could have written this - I've been off the pill since October but after three months of "seeing what happens" this has been my first month tracking with opk and trying to dtd at the right time! I ovulated on Wednesday and was also aware of the ovulation symptoms for the first time ever.
I guess we'll be testing around the same time, nice to have a cycle buddy! Is this your first baby? Would be #2 for us, our daughter is 2.5

@Hankthehonk Oh exciting. This is #3 and will be my last. I have an 11 year old and a 2 year old. As if hormonal preteens and toddlers aren’t enough I thought we’d Chuck in a newborn too 😂. With my other two I never had the urge to test until the day of af, first wasn’t planned and second was just DTD mid cycle and hoping for the best, but I think noticing ovulation has made me worse, now I know when I ovulated and know we did what we could around the right time. Just that horrible wait and see now.

Yup I understand now why everyone dreads the two week wait!
I feel like I've got a different body this time - I didn't ovulate or have periods at all for a year when I came off the pill to try for our first so had a totally different journey of exploring what was wrong and pushing for medication. I had finally managed to get a referral and was hoping for clomid to stimulate ovulation when I suddenly had a period and then we managed to get pregnant that cycle. Didn't test until I was having symptoms and was around 6 weeks pregnant, as it never occurred to me it would work without meds.
Super surprised that my cycles have been regular as clockwork this time- obviously I'm grateful but it's a whole new world for me! A totally different kind of stress.
