Hi all, driving myself crazy.. had a MC 8 weeks ago.. haven’t gotten my period yet.. I’m currently 13DPO and have a faint line of FRER but only slight shadows on other brands.. is it normal to only have a faint line at this stage? I took 3 different FRER and they all showed a faint line within the a couple of minutes.. I’ve seen some people saying the line should defo be darker.. I had spotting and cramping 6DPO and my LH levels have gone from sitting around 0.1 to 0.46.. any advice would be fantastic

Are you 100% sure if when you ovulated? I would expect a darker line on frer at 13 DPO but doesn’t mean you’re out. LH can rise just before your period so I wouldn’t look to much into them, they’re less sensitive than pregnancy tests so if it was picking up hcg then you’d definitely see it on other tests.

is it definitely a pink line? There’s a lot of posts about frer having indents at the moment.

I get cramps when I ovulate so when I felt the cramps and took the ovulation test the test line was way darker than the control line so I’m pretty sure I’m 13DPO however with my last pregnancy and my first pregnancy with my now 2 year old I was a week and a half behind where I should be so I don’t know if that would make a difference

Can you post the tests?

TheShellBeach · 01/02/2023 22:28

There may still be some HCG in your system from your miscarriage.
Also, you may not have ovulated when you thought you did.
If this IS a new pregnancy, the line at 13 dpo should be clear and obvious.
I'm sorry you lost your last baby.

I’ve only got this blurry pic from this morning but I swear the line is pinker in person

If you are 100% sure of your dates then that seems far too faint to be a positive at 13dpo sorry op. Wait a few more days and if no AF tests again

TheShellBeach · 01/02/2023 23:44

That does look too pale for 13 dpo. Sorry.

Although you know your dates.. ovulation tests don't tell you when you're ovulating. Just that you're about to ovulate... Usually 12-36 hours later.

Which could put you at 11dpo.

In addition, it's possible to get a peak on an ovulation test, for you to not ovulate, get another peak and successfully ovulate then. Which can happen especially if your hormones haven't quite settled after a loss.

I think then the only real way to know is to keep testing and to check for progression. I can see a light line for sure though. With a viable pregnancy you'd expect it to be a lot clearer in a day or two, regardless of dpo.
