Cervix position?!

Hello everyone

I don't check my cervix very often but decided to check it just now and it's fairly high, hard and open!. I'm anywhere from 2 - 5 DPO, is this normal? I've read it should be closed by now.

I thought it only closes when pregnant? Although might be wrong

I tried checking my cervix when TTC and it lied more often than not šŸ˜… At times it would be nice and high the day before expected period and Iā€™d convince myself that was good news, only for it to drop low the next day and start AF. With my current pregnancy it went up and down around week 4-5 (I was nervous about early MC having had 2 and checking) and it drove me mad - it would be low in the morning then high in the afternoon. So I stopped checking. 35 weeks atm. Good luck x
