False positive?

Hi has anybody had a false positive test with One Step in a case? Not the strip ones.
I did a test a few days ago that had a faint line but I wasn’t sure if it had colour. I tested again yesterday and got this one, which looks positive to me.
I ended up doing another one step test about 4 hours later and got a complete stark white negative? I also had negative digital but I have heard there not as sensitive.
I am assuming the attached test is faulty as I have had only 1 positive and the rest negative.
I am not sure exactly when my period due, but anytime around now. I have had pink discharge this morning though and have been cramping for days.
Don’t know what to think!

any idea how many dpo you are ? Wait a few more days and test with FMU. You could be having implantation spotting.

I didn't know it was possible to get a false positive? It may have been the one you did 4 hours later was negative as your urine was not as strong later in the day. Buy a clear blue digital x

Thank you for your replies. I have done a clear blue digital which was negative ‘not pregnant’ but not morning urine. I also have done a first response this afternoon which is again stark white negative.
I am not sure how many dpo I am. From symptoms of ovulation this month, I would guess now I am about 12-14dpo. 🤔

Your test above looks like a clear positive to me, there is no squinting at all to see that second line and it is clearly coloured!

Okay at this point you should be getting positive. Everyone has different HCG levels so I would just do a test in the mornings with fmu and see if you still are getting positive results. When you drink/eat during the day it dilutes the HGC in urine that’s why you should use FMU. The test is a positive in the photo.

I think my period is starting though as the pink is turning red. I don’t know what happened or why I had this one off positive, but I think it must have been a faulty test.
I will test tomorrow morning if my period has still not properly started, but I doubt there will be anything other than a negative! If a first response is negative tomorrow I won’t use One Step again 😐

You could of had a chemical or late implantation, pay attention to how much flow/ color and for how long. If you had a chemical you should start your AF, I had a chemical in December and I started bleeding with heaver flow and a lot of sever cramping. You’re not out tell you start AF.

I will wait to see what happens, but I didn’t think you would have a negative test, positive test then negative in such quick succession if pregnancy was lost. I thought it would be a gradual fade of the second line but maybe I am mistaken. Time will tell.

im kinda in the same situation but no positive test yet. I have had symptoms starting at 7 dpo and I have had all negative test at 11 dpo- 13 dpo have ting of pink/ brown in cm. Monday I woke up started spotting a little but it was red and I only used a Panti liner all day. Yesterday it was heavy but still used a Panti liner tell I went to bed and use a pad at night. Today when I first woke up it was heavy but I assume it’s from laying down because now I have red blood a couple spots on Panti liner and when I wipe. I’m going to see what happens with flow and test again in a couple days if flow doesn’t pick up. I have drove my self mad looking into implantation bleed and if I would be heavy ect and alot of women said the have had heavy implantation bleeding so I don’t want to count myself out because I did start bleeding at 14 dpo and I was due on Tuesday for AF and my AF is usually very heavy flow and last about 5-7 days.

My test was negative within 5 days. But like I said everyone has different levels of HCG so you very well can just be early and not have enough for every test to pick up with out using FMU. You could use a cup and do two different style test to see if they show same results. Every test is a different sensitivity.

It’s horrible isn’t it when all you can do is wait and see… It is hard to take your mind off of it and not keep testing, especially when it is so easy to convince yourself that any symptom must be a pregnancy symptom. You just go round in circles 😣you’re not on your own!

waiting is the worst part because you will look for every little thing. I have told my self I’m not aloud to be obsessive anymore but I can track my symptoms that I have so I can know what’s going on. I have had mild cramps and the nausea was so bad that I refuse to eat a couple time after I got done cooking dinner for my family and it was things I would normally have no issue eating. I hope everything turns out good for us. We aren’t actively TTC but we feel if it happens it happens and my fiancé seems to be more upset about the fact that I might not be pregnant. I feel like the chemical really affected him.
