As above really. I took an ovulation test today and the control line seems really faint. They’re usually quite dark. Does this mean it’s faulty? They’re only cheap ones from Poundland.

Have you got a picture?

A faint line on an ovulation tests means you're not ovulating yet. Are you due to ovulate soon?

Twoinapod · 23/01/2023 23:41

@Zone2NorthLondon its an ovulation test not a pg test.

@JuniperandI i know the faint test line means not ovulating, but todays control line was really faint as well, the control line is supposed to be the dark one. I had mirena removed a few weeks ago, never had periods on it so no idea on cycle which is why I’m using OPK.

@allgoodthings84 today the control line was really faint as well as the test line and now I’m wondering if they’re just rubbish tests

Hmmm all of your control lines look a lot fainter than mine ever did. The only darker one is CD9s. Maybe it’s a dodgy batch without much dye in them.

@allgoodthings84 thats what I was thinking. These are two different packs so I think they’re just crap tests. I’ve ordered some easy@home ones to try instead. I’ve never used them before so didn’t know if it was normal but looking at other photos mine are definitely too light.

@Twoinapod I used easy@home ones and they were great.
