I know it is hugely important to make sure you are in good health when ttc, this is just a moan to people who will understand my frustrations!

We decided ttc in December (I've been off the pill over a year and using withdrawl during fertile period) so it's second cycle and I'm going into my fertile window now but due to biopsy during colposcopy yesterday I've been told to avoid sex for at least a week 😣

They're pretty sure it's low grade changes so treatment is likely to be increased smears for a while to make sure it's sorting itself out, so while I know I needed the appointment and should wait until after the results of the biopsy I'm still frustrated I'm missing this week to BD. Also if it is low grade I've missed January's chance, on the plus side I don't have to go through the tww this month I suppose....

You absolutely need to abstain because of you do get pregnant, and your biopsy comes back as CIN 2/3, you won't be able to have the treatment until after the birth. Which is nearly an entire year.

I don't want to scare you but it's definitely worth knowing that the cell changes are low grade first.

Good luck xx

Don't worry we are playing by the rules, just frustrated with the timing 😔 hoping they get back to me before February's fertile window with an A'ok to crack on!

Definitely want to make sure all is well before we carry on

How are you doing ?
My partner and i wanted (/ want ?) To try 4 a child soon but now im waiting for biopsy results and scared

@worldwidetravel2017 hey, so my results came back as CIN1 with areas of CIN2 but no treatment needed currently and they would review me in 6 months, I'm currently waiting for my review. I am also now 7 weeks pregnant. They had no issue with me carrying on trying after results came and I will contact them when my review appointment comes to see what they want to do 🤷‍♀️
Try not to worry too much! I was in an awful state worried what was going to happen but remember it's not an uncommon thing and it can revolve itself! It just happens to have been picked up on the smear. And if you do need treatment, at least its getting done early 😊
