Multiple Losses

Hi Everyone! I had posted on the pregnancy thread the other day about cyclogest but sadly have had another miscarriage. I am just wondering if anyone has been in the same position... I had a ruptured ectopic pregnancy in 2017, a normal birth in 2018, a stillbirth in 2021, a miscarriage in 2022 and a miscarriage in 2023. With both my miscarriages baby stopped growing around 6+4. Both times I saw a heart beat at 6 week scan but 2 weeks later no heart beat. The midwife mentioned doing my bloods in 2 weeks or so to see if there is anything obvious being flagged up and i have also been referred to the recurrent loss team. I am just curious as to what might be flagged up or what other peoples stories are of 2 miscarriages in a row. I am so keen to have another baby but it takes a lot for me to mentally prepare for it and id love to hear some success stories.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I have had 2 miscarriages in a row but they won’t refer to me recurrent miscarriages until I’ve had 3. I’m 9 weeks pregnant now and so scared I’ll find out I’ve had a miscarriage at a scan or something. I have no advice but I know how horrible the feeling is 💕

Aw I am so sorry for your losses too. I find it all so stressful and then follow lots of positive Instagram pages for pregnancy after loss. I find the daily internal conversation exhausting to keep my anxiety at bay and then I feel justified to have felt anxious when things go wrong again. I'm just intrigued as to what has come up in other people's bloods for example... is there something I should be doing to create more habitable home for my embabies... I don't know. I think I've more questions than I started with. Congratulations on your pregnancy, it is such an exciting time but I 100% feel your woe. Xxx sending lots of sticky thoughts your way xxx

@Clarita191 thank you. I did have bloods done, twice (before and after my first loss) and they came back completely normal.

My mum had a stillbirth and a miscarriage (nearly 40 years ago) and went on to have me and then my brother straight after with no further losses. She never had any tests or anything back then.
