Faint lines on a FRER after miscarriage

Hi all! I'm seven weeks post-miscarriage now, was bleeding for about 5-6 weeks afterwards. We decided to start TTC straight away, and last DTD 12 days ago. No signs of ovulation really. Just this last week I've felt unusually tired (that particular type of pregnancy tired), weirdly burpy (this happened with my DD about nine days after conception) and just an odd sense.

I've done 3 tests, all negative, but for a very, very faint line on two FR (one ER, the other RR), that came up about half an hour later. I'd usually say evap line, but I've never had an evap line on a FRER (see the tests from my last pregnancy, and no evap line on the negatives, even on three day old tests).

I've had three days of very light brown spotting, and constant cramps only on the right side of my uterus (this happened with the last two pregnancies too).

Had first negative pregnancy test after miscarriage in late December. Wondering what people think, and if anyone has seen residual pregnancy hormones give false positives or cause one-sided cramping on the first AF? Or if you can ovulate without showing obvious signs after miscarriage? My body has gone haywire, and I have no sense of where I am in my cycle. This could be a light period, but no red blood as yet.

(Pics attached are of todays test and the old FRER tests from my last positive test in October)

@Maizie83 came here from the other thread!

That looks like quite a strong line for it be an evap (in my opinion and I’m in no way an expert 😅).

Would be good to know if anyone else has had an evap that dark or a positive that’s taken a bit longer to show up?

When will you test again? The waiting after testing to do another is agonising isn’t it 😩

Thanks for replying! I'm going to try and hold off until Monday, if I can. Away for work this weekend, so hoping that might distract, and be unprofessional to be squinting at a pregnancy test and not working! 😀

Also worth mentioning I darkened that image to make the line I saw (or swore I saw!) visible...

Hey, first of all I'm sorry for your loss. Those definitely look positive to me! You can be very fertile after a miscarriage so not uncommon to fall pregnant straight after one! These look pretty good for only 10dpo or so! I'm sure you're feeling very tentative about it all but I'd say congratulations are in order xx

Thanks for your kind words! The photo on the left is from the last pregnancy, and is just there to show that there were no evap lines on FRER even after a few days. This week, the FR are showing the faintest lines after about half an hour and I'm 12 DPO. I'm not sure congrats are in order just yet, but boy would that be something!

I dunno I think the one on the right looks positive to me, finger crossed for you xx

Ah I think what may have happened this week is I binned the tests, which meant they were vertical (which can cause the dye to run). According to Miracare you should keep the test flat to avoid dye running off the control line and into the indent of the other line. I never knew this!

If it showed up after half an hour you can’t count it as anything as after the time. I would wait a couple days and test again. I’m really sorry for your miscarriage and hope this is your bfp
