Hi all,

Im looking for advice, solidarity - just anything to lift my spirits really.

We lost our first baby due to miscarriage in June and we've been trying to conceive again since September without any luck so far.

I have a pretty regular 30 day cycle and I've been using LH testing strips and the PreMom App to track my ovulation cycle. I test 8 AM and 4 PM being mindful not to drink too many fluids and when testing at 4 PM I don't go to the bathroom for at least 4 hours prior.

But despite this I never seem to get the dark test line or anywhere as dark as the control line at least. My lines are faint and the darkest I get (which I would assume are my peaks) around day 15-17 appear as low numbers on the app - ranging between 0.26 and 0.38.

I must be ovulating as Im having a regular cycle every month - right?

Has anyone else experienced similar? I thought I had a bad batch of tests at first as I'd seen it mentioned online so I bought a new batch and still the same - so now I think it's me.

Can anyone offer any advice or been through similar or should I be booking a Dr's appointment :(

Hey just wondering how this went for you? As I am going through the exact same. MC last June 2023, started trying again in September 23 but not seeing any strong peaks on the app.

I had peaks previously detected by CB monitor but last month neither of my machines detected ovulation. I wasn't using strips at the time and assumed I hadn't ovulated. Then I had a BFP first week of January followed by a chemical. So even though I ovulation tested 20 days in a row, it never detected a surge.

Now my strip results aren't going above 0.24. It's disheartening because I don't know whether to keep trying and hoping for the best like last month or write it off and do some more monitoring.

Have you had any changes in your results yet?

Hi, I'm so sorry for your loss. :(

So I'm still trying to conceive atm and weve been refferred for fertility testing so far all tests are clear so thats good news. But when doing my LH testing I shifted my times to later on in the day so I tested at 4 and 8 pm as I was peaking later in the day and apparently this is really common. I also continued testing every day of my cycle even after I thought I must have ovulated by now as sometimes I peaked really late in my cycle. I would also address what prenatals you are taking as I was using COq10 and it was making my ovulation later in my cycle.

I also found recording my bbt was a good indicator of if I'd ovulated as well. I began to see patterns and just get a much better understanding of my cycle.

I've just invested in an ovusense monitor which is an internal bbt monitor you wear through the night. It is pricey but for me, so far I'm finding it easier to use than lh strips and temp monitoring every morning.

Hope this helps x
