TTC with unexplained irregular periods

Hello! I just wanted to reach out in case anyone else had encountered anything similar.

I have irregular periods (currently they happen every seven / eight weeks or so). Doctors looked into it a while ago and didn't think it's PCOS, because I didn't fit the profile in other ways, but it's possible.

Just wondering if anyone had anything similar? And whether it's safe to start trying for a baby? I think people have healthy natural pregnancies with irregular periods right??

Would be v grateful for any thoughts/ experiences? Thank you <3

Definitely try! Have you ever used ovulation tests? Start using those. X

I’ve had irregular periods for years - usually every 7/8 weeks like you. I also have an underactive thyroid, but even with medication they’ve never become regular. I was very pessimistic about ttc, but using the Premom app, ovulation tests and taking temp every morning, I was able to work out when I ovulated and we were successful on our first try! Currently holding a bonnie 8 week old bubba 🥰
