Line eyes! Evap or positive?

Hello!
About 5 days ago I bled a tiny amount ( only on tissue when wiping, sorry for TMI) felt a bit crampy and run down for past week or so- did a test today as fiance and I have been trying for a few years and test looks like this!

It’s only a Poundland cheapie and know that evap lines are a thing so trying to not get too excited yet, what do you guys think? Appeared within 3-5 mins but the smear of pink is making me doubt it!

is this likely to be a dodgy test/does the smudgy pink make it look like probably just a shit test?

This is after it’s been left for like 10 mins? I’m going to test again later but I am crossing my fingers it’s not a dud test 🤞🏻

I'd say that's a positive! Evap lines usually don't have colour as far as I know.

Yes that definitely looks positive to me! Don't read the test after 5 mins though as it's not reliable.

Thank you so much for the replies, been trying for a long time and can’t quite believe it, cramping as if I’m due on which feels weird but my OH is bringing another test home later so I can do another just in case this one lied!

That’s no an evap. Pink dye tests have no colour in the evaps they are grey or white and a lot fainter than that. Congratulations 😊

Positive! Yay! I used the Poundland cheapies when I was pregnant and found that they were just as accurate as more expensive ones. I always trusted pink ones over blue but that might have been some MN prejudice haha. Congrats!

Thank you so much for the lovely comments, i am over the moon! Did a FRER today and it’s a lot more definitive. For if it helps anyone trying to conceive I had a laparoscopy three months ago, no reason to not conceive after years of trying which was horrible because I felt like it was something that wouldn’t happen, this month I didn’t track my ovulation (I get quite obsessive), bit of pink blood about 6 days ago so assumed with tiredness and sore boobs that I was due on. Tested one day late day before yesterday, then this today!
