What's "normal" after stopping the pill?

I recently stopped taking the pill as me and my partner are ttc... I stopped taking it on 21/12 and had a 6 day withdrawal bleed starting 24/12.

I have been on the pill for 4 years since having my DD so have completely forgotten what it's like to have a "normal cycle" etc.

I started using the CB digital ovulation test on 2/1 (cd9) and got flashing smileys from c10 for 6 days and then got my static smiley on the 7th day (Monday). We dtd 5 times over this time but haven't since as my partner works shifts and has been very tired.

Anyway... I had some breast tenderness/heavy feeling during the first couple of flashing smiley days, which I obviously put down to a change in hormones etc.

However, since Wednesday, I've had really, really sore and almost constantly hard nipples... This morning I had a shower and they really started to tingle and I looked and they had lots of white ducts on them (like how I remember them being when I was breastfeeding 4.5 years ago). I for some reason gave them a squeeze, haha, and a small amount of I guess, white-ish puss(?) Came out of them...

Yesterday I also had really bad tummy pain really, really low down which was really bad for a couple of hours in the morning but got progressively better over the course of the day.

I also have loads of creamy cm today...

I guess what I'm wondering is, is this all normal after coming off the pill?! The whole thing with my nipples, especially this morning, has worried me a bit... Do I need to speak to a pharmacist or am I being ott? 😅

Update... Spoke to the GP who isn't sure re. Nipples aha. Said it could be hormones, infection or pregnancy. Been put on antibiotics "just in case" and been told to take another test nearer when I'm due af. All else fails, it'll be bloods to check hormone levels.
Boobs in general are also a bit off feeling today... Although I'm probably just symptom spotting!

Can anyone shed any light on anything that they experienced when stopping the pill please and if any of this may be normal? 😅

When I stopped the pill end of November I had very veiny and achey boobs, just before that I had ovulation pains on both sides and loads of cm, I could have sworn I was pregnant! But I got af, since then I've had very very mild barely noticeable dull aches on one side when I ovulate and barely any cm. Think my body is still righting itself and I'm trying hard not to symptom spot this month but can't help it 😂 how many dpo are you?

I got my static smiley on the 9th... So I don't actually know when I start counting dpo? I've been assuming I probably ovulated the next day so the 10th? In which case I'd be 15dpo but CD32... I thought af was going to come yesterday as had cramping and then about 1am this morning I had a tinnnnyyyy bit of very very light pink cm when I wiped so was sure I'd come on... But still waiting 🙄 I've taken a couple of pregnancy tests (the last one being yesterday) but all bfn! So I'm guessing either I'll come on af really soon or I got my LH surge but just didn't ovulate this month? 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think you can O anywhere from 12-48 hours after the static smiley and the avg is 36 hours. I got my first static smiley on Saturday, so assumed I ovulated the next day on Sunday which would put me at 3 dpo today.

The only way to tell when you o'd for sure is by temping which I don't do, trying to just use opks and hope for the best!

Got my fingers crossed for you, I've read about ladies getting bfns all the way till they're a few days over due for AF so you're not out yet! Keep us updated ☺️

Yeah I don't temp either... I'm already obsessive with all this as it is, I don't think it would be wise to add more "testing" into the equation 😅 I'll just stick with the opks! She says for now anyway... 🙄😅🙈

I haven't done a frer since Saturday though (so probs 11dpo)... I've just been using cheapy strips as I didn't want to waste all my money on tests unnecessarily 😂 maybe if AF doesn't come today, I'll use one in the morning...

Sadly not... Just done this (it's the test 6 days early one as well) think I need to give up now and just wait for AF to hopefully arrive soon! X

In my experience cycles can be all over the place after coming off the pill. I came off in October and my first cycle was 27 days (stupidly thought that was it and I was back to being regular straight away) only for cycle 2 to be 38 days and cycle 3 was 35 days. You just have to wait it out! Things will start to settle.

In a couple of my cycles I've had a couple of days of painful nipples, not really that I can correspond to anything significant within the timing in the cycle. Just hormones changing really I think. It's hard not to get obsessive with it all I know!

I'm not using OPK's (yet) so in the past couple of cycles I've been doing cheapy strip tests from when AF is due (according to app) every few days until AF arrives. It hard though, in my second cycle which ended up being 38 days I was almost losing my mind with no AF and negative tests!

Keep trying. It's only been a month it can take some time xx

I am in an identical situation, down to the time span of coming off the pill to having first withdrawal bleed. Only haven’t been testing for ovulation as not TTC yet, but hopefully will be in a few months. I was just monitoring EWCM to learn my own cycles really

I have had a pill break before and cycles have consistently between 28 days but I am either on CD29 or CD30 now, no symptoms at all of period about to arrive or anything else! Usually I do get PMS symptoms too. BFNs just like you.

I had light spotting, which I presume was ovulation, on CD15 and EWCM from CD15-17. Nothing for a few days, then weirdly EWCM on CD24.

No idea what’s going on haha! Glad to know someone else is in the same situation
