Pcos & opk

Hi,
I'm waiting on a PCOS diagnosis (no period for almost 3 months and new acne, waiting for blood results), but have been using opk since end of Dec out of curiosity (before I realised I might have PCOS).
My opks are always almost positive, I haven't had a very light line for weeks, which I realise now is common in PCOS and they're not advised. BUT I did have one particularly dark very positive one last week, could that have been a true positive or just my high LH levels playing tricks?? I do track cm but I was having fertile cm for about 2 weeks before this positive, maybe asif my body kept trying to ovulate I don't know. I'm so confused.
Anyone with PCOS have any experience with this?
I've been pregnant twice before very easily then periods just stopped out of nowhere. I feel like a broken woman.
TiA.

Hey, I have PCOS. It's well known for causing high levels of LH and giving us positive OPKs throughout our cycles. Hopefully you get your diagnosis/have it ruled out soon x

I've been ttc for dc2 for 5 years (including miscarriages, surgeries and ivf) and have pco (but that's not my main infertility issue) so I am well used the opks! Sometimes they work for me, sometimes they don't! I had a dark one (but not as dark as the control line) a few days ago and now they're lighter, but I'm still on flashing smiley on clearblue, so I don't know if that was ovulation or not. Sometimes when dh and I are fed up of having to have sex every other day for what fees like forever, I buy an ovulation blood test kit from an online place like medichecks. You do a finger prick collection and send it off 7 days after you think you ovulated. I ordered one today (£39), hopefully it will arrive mid week and I can post it off and then hopefully can stop having ttc sex for a while Confused.

@seven201
Oh thank you for your reply and sorry its taking such a long time for you.
When you've used opks in the past and got an absolute positive did you check then that it was ov? I've only had one true positive and the rest are just quite high, so I was assuming I did ov but also just completely confused as I don't trust my body anymore!
Goodluck!!

@1greentea hi. No, I've never done a blood test when I've had a clear positive opk. I'm pretty sure I ovulate most/all cycles though, it's just not knowing when for me really. I also in the past spent too much money on one of those thermometers you wear internally each night to track ovulation, and that showed no ovulation, but I did actually ovulate! I don't know if that's a side effect of pco or not. Was a waste of money for me!
