Is it that common to get pregnant at first try?

It's my fertile period and DH and I just decided to try this morning. There is a part of me that is still unsure (the last time I properly tried, I got the morning after as I was so unsure!)

There is a part of me that is just telling myself - leave it; if it happens, it happens. Is it common to get pregnant from first try?

Bearing in mind DH and I have not used artificial contraception for 8 years, only the withdrawal method and we have never gotten pregnant. Have taken the morning after but only 5 times over 8 years...

I did twice, conceived both times immediately after coming off the combined pill.

We did it 3 times so yeah definitely

I've become pregnant within 6 weeks of trying every time, but have had 7 pregnancies and 2 children, so while we may not struggle to get pregnant, I struggle to retain the pregnancies

It can happen. Been trying for no.1 for 7 months now. My friend got pregnant on her first month trying.

I work away a lot. I conceived my first and my second with a single go each time. In my mid 30s. Husband 40s. It happens.

Yes, four times.

I’m 34 and partner is 40 .. we had sex twice in one 24 hour window and I got preg. I ovulated a couple days before , or so I thought . I’m now 37 weeks pregnant

I have four and I got pregnant on the first time with every time. I was convinced it would take months.

First two dc I was pregnant 1st time. 3rd dc pregnant after taking morning after pill. Took pill for years beforehand.

I fell pregnant the first month of trying when I was tracking fertile windows. It took about 6 months when not.

Yep. Twice

I do think it can be a bit down to luck so if it doesn’t happen the first month please don’t feel disheartened. If I was you I would stop my normal contraception method wait 6-9 months if nothing is happening go to GP for advice (this still doesn’t mean anything could easy be poor luck timing wise).

It was for us we were lucky, I also knew I was pregnant about a week before the test could be done. I could feel a lot of pain.

At early scans they could see my uterus thickening before the baby was big enough to be observed and said some women can just feel the change!

First pregnancy was a surprise whilst on the mini pill. 2nd pregnancy first month of trying a chemical and got pregnant on the second month.

I did 3 times. Eldest was after missing one pill, 2nd was first month trying but we miscarried. 3rd was one act of sex following my first period after the miscarriage. Told my husband the next day I wasn't actually ready to try again but too late, dd was already on the way

I did with my 5th baby. My cycle had just came back after stopping breastfeeding baby no.4. Realised my fertile dates coincided with our wedding, where we had a weekend away with the kids. Fell pregnant on the first try.
we never actively tried for our other children. Fell pregnant with no.1 while on the pill as I needed antibiotics. Other three were conceived while not trying/not preventing and breastfeeding.

I have been pregnant 7 times, I have 3 children.

Each time was first or second month. But like a pp I am very aware that getting pregnant doesn't necesarrily mean a baby.

Happened first try for me, aged 30. I did take ovulation tests so we knew exactly when to do it, so who knows if we would have caught on the first try without it🤔
