hello, me and my partner are looking to conceive however after some months of no BFPs i decided to give up the ovulation checking and just enjoy me and my husband as it got exhausting. However that all came to a halt when i randomly got bleeding 2 weeks before i was due on my period.

Wasn't painful, was bright red, not like a period ive ever had before? im usually heavy and its a full 5-7 day event. This bleeding lasted two days with the third being light pink brown. With some kind of discharge mixed. Now its like nothing has happened and to be honest its completely thrown me off.

I thought it was a dodgy period as i originally thought it was impossible for it to be implantation as we last BD on NYE. And i got this bleed on the 6th? Then i remembered Christmas eve and day? So now i don't actually know whats going on. Anyone out there got any insights?

I really dont want to test as i think it would be too early as well as possibly very disappointing. i know i probably will end up having to, if so when do i test? and whats the best tests?

Hello! Just sharing my experience.. I can only go off a chemical pregnancy unfortunately but when I had implantation bleeding, it was more of a browny red.

I tested too early really as this led to many positive tests (digital and others), this only led to disappointment when AF came 2 days later and the tests turned negative. So everyone will have their own experiences/suggestions but if you want to be sure, I’d honestly wait until the expected day of AF or until you’re late. I spent so much money getting positive after positive and then negative after negative - hopefully this wont be the case for you but chemical pregnancies are extremely common so worth having the heads up if you’re prepared to early test.

If it was 2 weeks before your period was due it was more likely ovulation bleeding, it can happen randomly despite never seeming to have had it in your life

I am 9 dpo, got some red bleed and clear mucus ... period was due yesterday. Done a test and some say they can see a faint positive... I'm unsure !?

I deffo see something! I’d check with a first response, I got an early pregnancy test. I keep seeing somethin on the little cheap tests but don’t know if it’s just line eyes!

Thank you, I’ve taken an early days test and it looks negative. I wish I hadn’t tested as I’m sad now 😕 I’ll see what happens in the coming weeks. I don’t know when I’m due my next period now as this bleed has thrown me off.

side note is anyone else sick of seeing these tiktoks saying a baby’s on the way? Thinking of deleting some socials as all I see is babies and pregnancy and I need something else to focus on.

Tests are still negative, not started my period however I’ve gone sticky and haven’t hit a peak so don’t think I’m ovulating.
however I’ve got symptoms I’m nauseous got heart burn reflux etc but tests are negative so I don’t know anymore

Hi, I've read some people don't get bfp until a week after period is due! I wonder if anyone's had a heavy implantation bleeding at the time of period. I had bfn then got my af on time but I've had one day of a heavy bleed and it's now almost stopped which never happens. I have a headache which I never get. Not sure if I need to test again? Has anyone had this then got a bfp?

@Abixxlou sorry I don’t have any advice re the bleed but just wanted to whole heartedly agree with you about the pregnancy announcements all over social media. Every celeb/influencer/YouTuber seems to be pregnant and all seem to be “whoops! We’re pregnant” as if a total accident and they weren’t even trying?! V annoying.

@1978summer I’ll let you know when I take test tomorrow or Friday. I have had some extremely odd symptoms that make me believe I’m pregnant and the last test I took was Monday morning it was a BFN and then I started spotting that day only enough to fill a Panti liner then yesterday I bled heavy when I changed Panti liner about 5 time and used a pad at night now today I had heavy in the morning and now nothing. It was all red in color.
