Hello all! I am getting ready to ttc for no. 2 and want to make sure I'm in the best shape possible.

Before no.1 I was taking Inessa advanced multi-vitamin. It was recommended by a friend and I loved them. I honestly felt a difference, I liked the ethos of the company etc etc. When I got pregnant I moved to their pregnancy multivit.

Unfortunately I got horrific morning sickness with the first. I kept trying to take the vitamin but it caused me to be immediately sick (as did absolutely everything else to be fair). Even when the worst of the sickness passed, the pills made me throw up.

I think forcing myself to keep taking it must have created some sort of pavlovian response because now taking the multi-vit makes me feel nauseous. I want to stress I took these for ages before pregnancy with no problems and have friends who have taken them throughout without issue, the brand is great, it's a me problem.

So, I'm in the market for something else. Any brands people recommend when prepping to TTC? Did you take a multivit or multiple different pills? Is the whole thing a scam and I shouldn't worry? Any thoughts, recommendations and advice is very gratefully recieved.

Hi, with my first I took Wild Nutrition pre-natal complex. This time, my nutritionist recommended Thorne Pre-natal - it has greater concentration of important ingredients, also it has folate, instead of folic acid, which is much better for absorption and side effects. To be honest, they don’t taste the greatest, and the capsules are medium size, but I’m happy with them. I also take Omega 3 and Magnesium. Hope this helps!
