Not quite yet but tempted to start in the next few months. Anyone else?

We are in our first month of trying for baby number 3. I'm currently 4DPO and am hoping to test around 20th, day before my period is due xx

00Bubbles00 · 10/01/2023 14:55

Hi, we just decided to start trying - I'm fairly old (39) so it may not happen but we thought we'd give it one last roll of the dice!

Mrsrobinsonx · 10/01/2023 14:56

We are trying for baby #3 currently!

About to start cycle number 4 x

Twoinapod · 10/01/2023 15:01

Having my coil out in 45 minutes ready to start trying for number 3. Feeling a mix of emotions right now.

smileladiesplease · 10/01/2023 15:02

We had 2 10/8 and decided last roll of the dice for us sged 36! Had twin dds. 😂😂. Best decision.

Anonbaby · 10/01/2023 16:01

We have been trying for number 3 for almost 2 years to no avail with two children conceived easily.

Mummymidwife33 · 10/01/2023 16:12

My husband is having a vasectomy reversal on Thursday. As soon as he is recovered we will be trying to conceive #3 for us both but #1 together!

smileladiesplease · 10/01/2023 17:54

'Mummymid' hope it works for you

Unicorn25 · 10/01/2023 18:12

Oh wow there's lots of responses 🥰

How old are your current children? If I'm successful I will have 3 under 5!

My eldest is 6 and youngest is 15 months 😊

@Anonbaby sorry to hear it's taking a while, it's definitely so unpredictable isn't it? I had 4 miscarriages prior to my first but then conceived my second no problem, it's very strange.

@Unicorn25 mine are 11 & 2. Never wanted a big gap between the first two but life happened. I’d love to have two growing up together though

babyboybluewithtwox · 10/01/2023 18:26

Following re ages 👀 I've got a 2.5 year old and 8 month old but we would love a third in the future but god knows when!!

lalalalalala123 · 10/01/2023 18:29

I've just fallen pregnant for the 2nd time with a 3rd. I had a miscarriage in sept from a shock pregnancy & it actually made us realise we really did want it. Was lucky enough to fall pregnant again on our 2nd cycle, so nervous though I just hope this one sticks! We have dd6 and ds3.

Callmemummynotmaaa · 10/01/2023 18:35

We’re considering it. Had an unexpected early miss in September. Would both love another, and am scared of the chaos. Would have 3 under 4. But who knows. Ttc-ing first took years. So it’s hard to think about timings. I’d like to start now. Dh wants to wait on other few months (due to work stuff).

Unicorn25 · 10/01/2023 18:49

@lalalalalala123 ahhh congratulations I will keep everything crossed for you

Awww huge congratulations! Xx

Mrsrobinsonx · 10/01/2023 19:02

I have an 8 year old and a 5 year old! ❤️

Unicorn25 · 10/01/2023 19:30

@Callmemummynotmaaa

If I conceived somewhere between May - November I would have a just 4 year old and 2.5 year old. But you just never know how quick it's going to happen! If we knew it would make these decisions a lot easier wouldn't it?

I am also scared of the chaos, I feel like currently some days are hard others are easy. So I'm not sure how adding a third into the mix would make it!

@babyboybluewithtwox there was 19 months between my first two. Love that age gap!

Thank you! Me too. Trying not to get my hopes up but it's hard not to imagine it!

Mummymidwife33 · 10/01/2023 20:51

I will be on the other end of the scale- will have a 15yo and an almost 11yo if successful. What am I getting myself into?!

LovelyBitOfSquirrelll · 10/01/2023 21:00

Yes we are going to TTC #3 in the next few months (from April we think). We have DD 10 and DS 2. I definitely feel you re the chaotic days, but as DD is older, we will have different types of chaos depending on who wants to have a meltdown that day 😂 But, overall, just feel excited more than anything!
Following with interest and nice to see other people in the same position!

northernmam · 10/01/2023 21:33

I have also wondered how we will navigate the (even more) chaotic days, especially as me and DH will be technically outnumbered 😂 but I am just so hopeful and excited too xx

OnNaturesCourse · 10/01/2023 22:47

Me.

We spoke about TTC a 3rd within the next year. However it was still a little in the air as in "we'd need a bigger car" "how would be manage" "what about money" etc..

My period was late this month and honestly thought we were getting a surprise. Truly upset that AF arrived. Its made me realise how much I'm not done having babies. My DP however is still seeing all the practical questions (rightly so)

I'm so desperate for a 3rd. I wasn't ready for my last baby to actually be my last.
