Trying to conceive - did I read a false positive?

I’m sitting here driving myself insane following an early pregnancy test (8 days before missed period) which I thought was positive but I now believe it was an evaporation line, anyone who has experienced this before or knows about this, please tell me what you think to this. I’ve since done 2 negative tests :( I am however still 4 days away from my period due date. I should have waited but I just had a feeling I was pregnant.

8 days before would be too early to show so I’d count that as an evap

8 days would be way to early to see on those tests as the clear blue are less sensitive. did you pee directly on the stick. I've had that patchy staining when i accidently peed on the window.

4 days before is still early so you're not out. fingers crossed for you
