*TMI* EWCM or arousal fluid?

Hi all,

First off... Warning for TMI in this post!!

I'm not sure if you're allowed to post pictures of the above so people can give their opinions or if that's totally not ok!? 😅😂🙈

Anyway... According to my CB digital test, my LH surge was detected yesterday morning (although all other cheap strips tell me otherwise).
Me and my partner have been dtd nearly every day since I got my first flashing smileys (8 days ago) the past few times I've felt very "wet" down there and it's been so much more slippery than usual 🙈 I've not noticed any ewcm at all, however... (I'm so sorry aha) my partner is at work atm and although I enjoy dtd with him, it's gotten to the point where I really want to orgasm on my own so I did and afterwards it was a sticky mess down there. (What I would imagine ewcm to be... Lots of clear, super super stretchy) usually I wouldn't notice this because of you know, other fluids being there, but I'm not wondering... Is this "discharge" due to me orgasming etc. Or could it just be that it kind of, pushed out some ewcm?

I know I am reading into all of this wayyy too much! But I'm just not sure I trust the opks and apart from tender boobs, I haven't had any sort of cm or signs of ovulation until now...

Thanks so much in advance and I'm so sorry for being so grim... 😶😅🙈

If it’s super stretchy it sounds like ewcm! It probably did push it out tbh🤣 I also had a peak at least a day or 2 earlier on clearblue than I did the strips!

Thanks for the reply!!
Yeah... It did seem very, very much like ewcm but I've never had it before and haven't had any visible for the rest of the day... So who knows I guess!

I don't seem to get even faint lines on the cheap tests no matter when I test, so I guess I'll just have to hope that the CB one is correct... 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sounds like ewcm! A pic wouldn't of bothered me.

ChloeN · 10/01/2023 18:56

@HannahLouD what brand tests do you use? X

So I've got the advanced clear blue one that I got my static smiley on yesterday (after 6 days of flashing)
And I've also just used really rubbishy strip ones from the Sainsbury's, the pound shop 😂 and the range 😅 it's just odd because the cheap ones supposedly have much higher sensitivity than the CB one but they're not detecting anything at all... x

Hahahaha thanks! I'm so sorry 😶🙈🙈😂😂
I've been on the pill for the past 4 years and this is my first month off of it so I've completely forgotten what it's like to have a proper cycle 😅
I know I should absolutely just stop obsessing about everything and let nature take its course but it's impossible 🤦🏻‍♀️

Yep! Sadly had 2 chemicals back to back. The only happy part it was finally a heavy bleed. So my lining should be nice and thick now 🙈 next week is my fertile week. Yes I need to chill too 🤣🤣

Sending lots of positive vibes and fingers crossed for a bfp soon for you and a sticky one this time! 🤞x
Thank you for your help 😊

Me again 🙄 spending my evening googling and not getting any answers, so where else ask?! 😅
Any wisdom is greatly appreciated! ...

So, as I've said, I got my static smiley on Monday morning, so I assume if I ovulated, it was likely to be on Tuesday.

I absolutely know it's farrr too early to have any symptoms or anything, but as I've been on the pill for the past 4 years, I have no idea what's "normal" anymore...

Anyway... since Wednesday I've had the most sore nipples I can ever remember having. They are absolute agony to touch! Along with some intermittent tingling. My boobs also feel really heavy (which is hilarious because they are literally pancakes 😂🙈)
Then as of yesterday I've had white-ish, thick, creamy, almost paste-like discharge in my knickers... Yum.
Then this morning for a couple of hours I had really intense tummy pains really, really low down... This is now much better but feels kind of like someone is pushing down in there?

Am I broken after stopping the pill? Are these normal things to be experiencing just generally?
Any comments would be appreciated! I know I'm totally clueless... But I just haven't experienced these things in so long I don't know what to expect in a monthly cycle or when these things usually happen if they are "normal".

TIA! 😊

NB: about 4/5 days before my LH surge my boobs were super tender and tingly... This has now stopped and it's just my nipples 😅

OP posts:
ChloeN · 13/01/2023 19:27

@HannahLouD I never had any symptoms coming off the pill at all, but mine was one where you had a break everything 3 weeks for a week so I have no idea if other pills are different!

HannahLouD · 13/01/2023 19:57

Yeah I was on the combined pill as well... Expect for I took two packs in a row and then had a 4 day break (what the nurse recommended at the time).
I guess I'd just gotten so used to not having any symptoms of anything until I obviously had my bleed, that all this seems very new again and I don't know what's normal or not 😅
I don't even know whether or not to expect to come on my period this month because I read that it can take up to 3 months to get back to regular cycles. I assume I ovulated but who knows! 🤷🏻‍♀️
I should probably just try to stop reading into every little thing my body does and wait and see if I get my period this month or not 😅

OP posts:
ChloeN · 13/01/2023 20:38

@HannahLouD if it helps my period did come exactly on time, I got ewcm roughly midway through my cycle so I’d say it was a good sign

HannahLouD · 13/01/2023 21:24

Thank you! I'm going to try my best to just relax for the next couple of weeks and wait and see what happens!
