Traveling when TTC

Can I ask if anybody has any advice on travelling when TTC? Me and Dh were wanting to do one big trip before settling down and hopefully starting a family (although this is not proving as easy as we expected 😂). Been looking through the long list of countries at risk of Zika Virus, most of which advise to avoid conception during travel and for 3 months upon return! It a real shame as that has ruled out so much. Has anybody else experienced this?

We travel each month but mainly to Europe. We book things with a few weeks to go rather than plan far ahead, just in case it might happen. We wouldn’t put travel on hold as we’ve been trying a year so it might not happen

@Nelliepledge you don't know how long it will take - go do the big trip and try to put trying to the back of your mind. TTC is wildly unpredictable.

@Nelliepledge Yes, been there and I think I posted about it at the time.. It's tricky but ofc a very first world problem to have! Just to note that the male I think has to avoid unprotected sex for 6 months (female 3 months) if you've been to anywhere to Zika.

our last big holiday was safari in South Africa (also in a Malaria free zone!) and then Mauritius, so there's definitely some amazing places which are Zika free
