Indent / Evap / BFP / CM ? Please help xx

Hi All,
sorry this is so long 😩

Please can I have your advice.

I have been TTC for 6 months now and at no point have I ever had a hint of a BFP. That was until yesterday morning.

I had already reached out to my Dr in regards to irregular cycles at the beginning of the week (Monday). That Monday evening I started experiencing some sticky pinky brown CM when wiping each time I went to the toilet, had that for a couple of days. (I have no more pinky brown CM today but now just have clearish CM each time I wipe - it's more noticeable than normal).

I decided yesterday (Thursday) to take a test in the morning in case I was somehow pregnant before the Dr phoned me (received a text that I've got a appointment in two weeks so no phone call).

Took two easy@home pregnancy strip tests and on one I did a double take, I saw something there but not quite there if that makes sense.. The 2nd test I had to really squint but still could see something faint using the torch on my phone. I'd say I could see this between 3-5 minutes on both tests. I took two more tests, one £land and one Internet cheapy but both looked stark negative with nothing there.

Spent the rest of the day just staring at both these two tests and as they dried they left kind of a print on the tests.

Anyway today I thought I'd take two more, this time I didn't see anything quite there as I did yesterday so sat there staring at them again with the torchlight to see these lines form throughout the day. I then took 2 more 🙃😂 and the same as the above happened.

Now I know tests should be read in the 3-5 mins then be discarded but I've never in the 6 months of trying had anything make me doubt a negative when ive seen it at the first few second glance.

I just need someone to look at them and tell me it's definitely not going to turn into a positive and these are indents or evaps? If so is it normal for this to happen to every single test?

I've no idea where I am in my cycle, Premom app has predicted me to be 11DPO today but I've not had a high or peak ovulation this month. My BBT has been slowly increasing each day from Monday but again its not been trustworthy as I've been lying in at the weekends and temping without my alarm for those days whereas weekdays it's the same 7am every day.

I guess because I've had the strange pinky brown CM I'm clutching at straws thinking it's implantation. I've got some FRER tests arriving soon and a clear blue digital but not for a few days so I just want some advice please if anyone's been through it or can help me.

Thank you! Any advice is so appreciated as I feel like I'm going mad.

How many DPO are you? One from yesterday looks positive but today's look negative. I know someone who had tests like these but blood HCG was 0, so was told something else was interfering with the tests (can't remember if an infection or something to do with pcos)

If you're still very early though, these may turn positive. Fingers crossed for you!!

They look like evaps on those dried tests. In my experience a bfp on a dried test still have colour and a solid line.
I wouldn't say it's a bfp but test again in 2 days. Good luck.

I think the same as fairgame84.

I wouldn’t count that as BFP I’m afraid. Retest in a couple of days, maybe use a branded test for reassurance, or a digital?

@Lineeyes222 Premom has estimated me to be 11DPO today. But I haven't had any LH peaks this month.. the apps just kind of carried on as if I have. Its telling me my AF is due Sunday. Its so confusing I've just not come across a test where I've had to do a double take and the couple of days of the CM has made me even more confused as I don't get that usually. Googling other forums my CM looked similar to other CM when it was positive for ladies xx

@faifairgame84 thank you for looking for me. Would you say that's normal to have evaps on every test? I just don't think I've ever seen it before but I am still only 6 months in and just didn't study them as much when I've known them to be negative xx

Yes I think I'm going to give testing a break for tomorrow and test Sunday morning with the FRER that should come today or tomorrow and digital is coming Monday so will use that if anything comes up Sunday 😊 So annoying, I really thought it could be my time. One day xx

I don't know to be honest. I'm just going off what my bfps looked like when they dried.
The top tests on the 5th and the top and 3rd test on the 6th, the line isn't pink and doesn't look solid. I can't see any lines on the rest of the tests.
It could be a fault with the tests or that it's a bit too early yet.
I had a dodgy line on a clear blue which turned out to be bfn so I know how it feels to be in this position. It took us 14 months to get our bfp.

My personal experience with these tests is that they dry darker if that makes sense? I'll try and attach mine from 15dpo.. it looked clear for the first few mins, then dried like this. Still a squinted though.

I went out and got a first response early result the next day and got a more noticeable line.

Also regular internet cheapies and Poundland tests are less sensitive than these. You need a first response really.

Also my dates were only a day out from my scan, so not sure if I was just a late implanter or not. At 15dpo I'd generally expect a better line.

Just to add, your first photo looks more positive than my first bfp at 13dpo (one on the right, the left was my DH's test to check he didn't get the same). I got a positive on a digital on the same day, so maybe you could try that? I do agree the others look like indents though as no colour. Really hope you get a bpf on Sunday - keeping fingers crossed for you!

I would do exactly what you say you’re going to do, a frer on Sunday. If it’s a squinter on a easy@home now then a frer on Sunday will have a clear line if pregnant

I would say yesterday's was a faint positive, though today's look fainter. It could be that today's urine was more diluted though.

I would say either a very early positive or, if tests don't get darker, possibly a chemical. Bear in mind that if it's a chemical you might still get a line on an FRER as it's so sensitive (speaking from experience as it happened to me last month). I would probably continue to take the cheapie tests and see if you get line progress, good luck! 🤞
